Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has once again thrown her weight behind former Anambra governor and presidential hopeful, Peter Obi, describing him as a rare kind of leader in Nigeria’s political space.

In an interview on Channels Television’s Amazing Africans, Adichie shared that her support for Obi is deeply personal and patriotic. She said: “My support is rooted in my love for this country. And in the belief that with the right leader, we can be better than we are.

Who is this woman trying to kid, a person whose name appears in Pandora papers, a worldwide expose on corrupt politicians, that's the person that she is bigging up?

Not hungry for power or fame but there is always a camera person around when he is doing philanthropy work.

We need forward thinkers. We need innovative leaders. We need articulate leaders. We do not need emergency food servers and people fighting over land they claimed belonged to their brother, a brother who has not presented himself.

We need people who are able to come up with solutions and track record of sustainable projects delivered.

Any serious politician would not promise one term or say he is not desperate, but would discuss solutions that would make him appealing to those whose votes he wants. Discussing the solutions has become impossible because the brainpower for such is missing.

They just want to win elections to tackle their own personal unemployment.

Among all those doing coalition, how many of them are exactly gainfully employed?

How many of them actually have paying jobs?

What job does Rotimi Amaechi do? Atiku?

Politics is their job.

Obi is saying he will do 4 inorder to trick the North for their support. There is nothing more to the reason for saying so because of the gentle man agreement of power returning to the North in 2027. So if Obi should win which is almost a zero probability, he wants to make the North have confidence in him that he will hand over in 2027. That is what the whole desperation is all about.

Not only
Obi, any president or governor that cannot improve from where the predecessor left it should just resign and give another person opportunity to try and not waste everybody’s time. That’s a very good idea but our politicians who are known to be anti masses and only care about their pockets would never back such law

It's confirmed that by 2027, the maximum Tinubu can go is 4 (more) years, no more no less.

Obasanjo intentionally made himself politically irrelevant after may 29th 2007 handover with exception of intervention he made when north wanted to shut out Jonathan from becoming president in 2010 and in 2015 when he supported buhari due to Jonathan recklessness then and refusing to listen to his advice on how to steer Nigeria in right direction

The fact that tinubu refused joining Pdp and escaped losing his seat doesn’t mean he is smart in any way but means Obasanjo just applied leniency in wanting a viable opposition thrive as seen in most western countries, he could have easily removed him through the courts or INEC or executive power like same tinubu did to fubara now

In 2006 I have already finished my NYSC and was carrying bag for one of the top politicians that founded ADC (not the today ADC) which was the bed rock that later metamorphosed with AD into APC. Atiku house was where we were having our meetings then . The house was in asokoro area abuja, oba akhenzua street close to mtn office . I saw regularly tinubu, boni haruna, jolly nyame, ngige etc as governors in meetings, then I never saw tinubu with a single police man but young guys with machine guns and white agbada all the time I saw him. If my boss did not die I would have gotten a big appointment under buhari . My juniors got appointments in fact one of them was queried by senate years ago over missing several billions in their ministry but I won’t go into further details . If I meet bisi akande today and mention my boss he will remember me but I left Nigeria many years ago so don’t care or know much about what is happening there on ground as I have no single attachment to that country except hoping that one day the poor and people without life hope would get good governance …kiddo ask elders around you questions for what you don’t know

Again I ask you do you have any single or iota of evidence where Obasanjo mentioned he wanted third term?

Obasanjo had no hand in removal of ladoja . Lamidi Adedibu the acclaimed strongman of Ibadan politics then picked ladoja and made him governor and then agreed ladoja will be giving him a percentage from Oyo government revenue. Ladoja entered and refused paying him the money . Obasanjo tried to settle the case but couldn’t because adedibu mentioned on channels tv during interview at his molete residence that he has made up his mind “.. let him go away…I don’t need his money anyway..” ( that was about 2003 or 2004 more than 20 years now but I still remember that statement clearly) he said he uses the money from government to feed the poor who have nowhere to eat except his house. The next day almost the entire house of assembly impeached ladoja which most Nigerians saw as unjust then because the most the mentality of people then was different. Ladoja won in court but the assembly and CJ refused to reinstate him back. Alao Akala replaced him and started giving Adedibu more than he requested. Few years after Adedibu slumped and died at Ibadan immigration office. Akala died a few years ago and Ladoja they treated unjustly is now a king which I believe is a lesson to everyone that the injustice you do today will hunt you tomorrow
