Lagos State Govt always do their part even including orientating its citizens, I wonder how it’s the LASG fault. We ave seen cases where individuals pour/deposits their waste on the road or canals. I think individuals living in Lagos state needs to do their part too. HABA! |

When it rains in Lagos, many roads become muddy, and everywhere will be messed up. That Mile 2 Apapa is something else, very messy and smelly |

raskymonojendor:Defending nonsense as if Lagos is your personal property. Some of you just hate criticism even when it’s nothing but the truth. I am sure you would have supported the op if the article was channeled to another state outside west. |

Effective waste disposal management is vital to a clean city. Lagos is dirty because the people are dirty in and out with a rudderless government whose fury is against non-indigenes who call them out. I was in an Uber ride in the heart of Victoria Island and saw a grown man empty a bag of refuse in the gutter. We couldn't do much because it was raining heavily! |

I am living in Lagos and I must say this, Lagos is a very dirty state. There is no place you will enter in Lagos that you will not see shit scattered around the road. Sick and tired of this nonsense place called Lagos. |

Just try to Cross that Pako bridge in Ajeggunle boundary to Apapa, you go fear. The water flowing there is pitch black. I saw what I thought were bags of sand stacked in the mud, not knowing they were pigs taking cooling from the contaminated water. One was even tearing up a dead chicken 🐔 😢 😭 |

Omo Lagos has lost its past glory and it’s getting worse since more people of different ethnicity are leaving. It will get worse. |

In summary. Lagos is a dirty state. |

raskymonojendor:Is lagos not a dirty state. Continue renaming street while lagos continue to get more dirty. |

mrkings84:They may still come and argue with you, I think most of them haven’t traveled out of Lagos so they feel it’s heaven, the only reason people are in Lagos is because money is in rotation. Aside that, nothing else. |
| Re: Top 10 Dirtiest Streets In Lagos That Will Make You Gag by stanluiz(m): 11:50pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
AlphaTaikun:Until you decentralized the seaport airport monopoly lagos have. Nothing will change. These two economic infrastructure are what give lagos state edge over other states. Decentralized them, other will go back to their state. |
| Re: Top 10 Dirtiest Streets In Lagos That Will Make You Gag by stanluiz(m): 11:51pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
Konjiboii:Seaport and Airport monopoly lagos have is the reason people are trooping there. |
| Re: Top 10 Dirtiest Streets In Lagos That Will Make You Gag by AlphaTaikun: 12:50am On Aug 06, 2025 |
stanluiz:I have a contrarian view. First off, it's officially known that if international flights fly directly into every major city of Nigeria, it means private airlines will go bankrupt. So, these restrictions of international airlines flying ONLY into the airports in Lagos, the FCT, Kano, Enugu, etc, were made so that the local aviation industry will thrive and NOT be suffocated by foreign airlines competing with them. So when they fly into say Lagos or Kano airports, the local airlines can generate revenue too and fly passengers out to other cities This is also done in many countries of the world to keep the domestic aviation going. Second, the Onne River Port is already very active and Onitsha River Port is also there. I'm aware that barges have been used to move consignments to Onitsha from Onne that were brought by big ocean-going ships. So, why haven't some people moved out of Lagos? Based on CLEAR evidence, it's because of the insecurity LARGELY caused by criminal elements among the South Easterners that's making the South East of Nigeria people to stay away from using those two ports fully. Lagos State is also located on the Atlantic Ocean and directly on a major international shipping route along the West Africa coastline with access to West African markets and markets beyond. To be candid, Lagos State MUST be decongested with the constitutional amendments (and these new bills President 'Bola Tinubu is signing into law) BECAUSE it's affecting infrastructure. Many people are BETTER off in their home towns or villages where they can LARGELY get cheaper foods to buy and eat or simply walk into their farms or home gardens and pluck fruits, vegetables, and more to cook meals. Other States of Nigeria have to relieve Lagos State of the pressures. |

People are paying high taxes in those areas. They only know how to collect taxes. |
| Re: Top 10 Dirtiest Streets In Lagos That Will Make You Gag by Biggeststar01: 1:56am On Aug 06, 2025 |
AlphaTaikun:I agree that the south easterner are responsible for the insecurity in the south east, but what does the south east have to do with the onne port? Is it the insecurity in the south east that made onne port to not function? I don’t get what you’re driving at. |
| Re: Top 10 Dirtiest Streets In Lagos That Will Make You Gag by AfonjaPriest: 2:07am On Aug 06, 2025 |
Lagos stinks! There is no doubt about that. The government collects taxes from the people, yet it expects them to pay for the removal of garbages. What is the Lagos State government doing with the money in her treasury? Sanwo-olu should do something immediately. And that's an order! |

Biggeststar01:Go back and read my post properly. I CLEARLY stated that the Onne River Port is very ACTIVE so those saying they are in Lagos because of the seaports should move to Onne River Port and do their imports from there. Period. |

AfonjaPriest:The Lagos State government headed by Sanwo Olu is doing with the annual trillions budget what ebilokan’s a-looter progreThief master plan says. The same master plan is being used in Aso Rock for 200 million Nigerians since 2023. If it works well on 20 million smart Lagosians, surely it will work well on the entire country. No need to change the winning strategy. The results speak for themselves at the federal level. anonimi: |

Only God knows that I can never be proud of myself if I see myself in Lagos🤮🤮🥴 🥴 😷😷, like how do you guys cope over there ? Starting from the traffic, noise, agberos, pungent and nose ripping smell, different unwholesome characters, filth, shouting, owomida, pilfering and all manner of vices in the state. I can never live there even if it's 1or 2 days. |
