Seems the portal is not working fine at the moment. Been trying since yesterday.

The portal is working fine, I once thought it wasn’t working. Here’s the solution:

Resize all your documents to be 2mb or less. You can use this website https://www.simpleimageresizer.com/resize-image-to-2-mb (note I’m not affiliated to the website, that’s what I used)

Convert any of your vehicle documents that’s in pdf to image and make sure they are below 2mb too.

Then fill in all the necessary infos and you’ll be good to go.

It will now take you to a page that you’ll need to make a payment. I paid 14,200 naira. After that, it will take you to a video verification page where it will capture your face to match it up with the passport you uploaded initially.

Now, this face is a little bit tricky. Make sure you’re in an environment with enough lighting if not, use your phone light, point it directly to your face and open your eyes widely while following the onscreen instruction so the system can match it up easily.

After that you’re good to go and await the final stage. I’m currently at that stage now. Awaiting the completion of my application.

Thanks for ur write up,after following through I was able to complete the registration, but didn't chose online verification maybe that was why after payment,I didn't see any video capturing.
Pls what next, already have my receipt of payment, And nothing pop up after I made payment. Should I be waiting for message for physical verification. Thanks

Have you tried chatting with him on WhatsApp? I need to know if he actually scammed you before I put I send my money to him. Make person no take my money disappear

I am successful.. I chose virtual verification and paid 1,275.00 through VVS (Vehicle Verification Software) online to verify my VIN

After successful verification, an invoice was generated. I proceeded to complete my application (virtual verification). Uploaded all documents.. Side, front, back of my car, VIN (as it appears on car), driver license, my doctor's report (glasses specifications), passport photograph. I chose lagos and one police command afterwards

Then submitted..

It took me to a place for face capture. After face capture (with plenty bright light), took me to another place for face capture again by placing my face in a circle and moving in different angles.. E hard oo

At last i was successful and i clicked submit

Payment Status - Successful (14,200)
Request Status- Pending

I achieved all these today.. Started around noon and concluded 6pm

While I was registering I used my bvn and my details and when I got to the upload vehicle owner passport I used my dad passport photograph and also his name is on the vehicle owner full name. Fast forward to the virtual capturing .. it’s saying something went wrong . Please did I make a mistake . Ps : I used my dad face for the capturing too . But my name appears on the account

Solution 1: The "Portal Not Working" / Document Upload Error*

This is the most common issue. The portal is working, but it's very strict about the files you upload.

1. **File Format:** The portal works best with **image files (JPG, PNG)**, not PDFs. If your documents (vehicle license, proof of ownership, etc.) are in PDF, you must convert them to an image first.
2. **File Size:** **Every single file must be under 2MB.** This is non-negotiable. Use a free online tool like `simpleimageresizer.com` to compress your images before you try to upload them.

**Do this and your upload will go through.**

### **Solution 2: The Video / Face Capture Verification**

This step is tricky but passable. The system is trying to match your live face to your passport photo.

* **Lighting is Key:** Do this in a very brightly lit room. If you're in a dark room, **use another phone's flashlight and point it directly at your face.** This is the most effective trick.
* **Follow the On-Screen Guide:** When it shows a circle, put your face inside it. Keep your eyes open and follow any instructions to move your head slowly. If it fails, just click "try again." It will work.

* **For Medical Reports:** To be safe, use a report from a **Government Hospital**.
* **For Email Issues:** If you don't get a verification email, **check your spam/junk folder**.

I will suggest everyone to go to police area command and do there tinted permit no one is going to over charge u


If u want to do it online please choose physical verification don't go for virtual.

So please do physical verification no one is charging u extra

But if any one did virtual verification and successfully get his or her permit please, let us know , and I think police charge about 40k for SUV or keep ,

15k for sedan cars in Anambra State

@Rarelyseenkay,This is a very common issue, and you've correctly identified the problem. The system is failing because the name on the application (your name, via your BVN) does not match the name on the vehicle documents (your dad's name). The face capture is trying to match your dad's face to an account registered under your name.The application must be started and owned by the person whose name is on the vehicle documents.1. You need to start a brand new application from the beginning.2. This new application must be registered using your dad's NIN or BVN.3. All the details entered must be your dad's. When it's time for the face capture, it must be your dad's face.Essentially, the applicant must be the legal owner of the vehicle. You cannot register on behalf of someone else using your own details. I know this is frustrating and means you might lose the initial payment, but it's the only way to get the permit approved.
