I can go on & on. All those following their foot-step on this thread out of ignorance, will definitely have similar experience in less than 2yrs from now##).

I hold many altcoins, and I want an alt season to happen badly. But having watched this market from the beginning of 2024 up to this point, I'm afraid my belief that an alt season will happen in this bull market has evaporated. It's good to be optimistic, but most altcoins are extremely weak. The powers that be in this market are not interested in altcoins; they only buy Bitcoin. I've been in this market since 2015, so I've witnessed two alt seasons. I'm placing a bet that there won't be an alt season this time unless something magical happens. And even then, time is no longer on our side. 🤔

Which coins are you holding ?
If you can wait till October/ November that’s probably a better time to dump your alt bag.
If you have money and are clear headed you can DCA using low leverage on Bitcoin, Eth, Sui, Tia etc and slowly hedge and break even on your alt bags.

As I have said before, you must know the setup you're trading. I recommend only A+ and A, but for me, sometimes, I try B+ and even B setup.

They're risky, but you can still succeed with them if you have enough experience and only doing it with money you can lose and not feel depressed.

I spotted a channel early on and decided to stick with it till BTC hits 127k but since it has refused, I swing-traded the yellow and red channel for the mean time and it's been favouring me.

One thing you should know about BTC is, it's built to increase in value. Dumps are just corrections to give a good entry for others until the cycle is over and we reset.

The first image was the day I was hoping it'll hit the yellow channel, but got disappointed. Today, after 2-3 days, it did and I sold 90%. I may short, if it gets to 119.7k or 121.6k. Why?

Crypto is easy if you stop day-trading and focus on swing or investment.

Develop your system and you'll be glad you did.

For anyone interested, if you want to take the guess work out of finding the optimal entry price based on your setup timeframe. Observe how the MACD indicator simplifies this. Day traders or swing traders o, it should be of help.

That said BTC is still in an upward trajectory if your swing trading. But honestly swing trading, day trading, asides semantics .. isn’t the difference mainly in your stop loss and take profit ?

Do some of you ever check the 1 month TF?

For me, I have a top and bottom trend line which helps with this year's local top and bottom. The image below is my personal Tradingview BTC chart. The two ascending yellow lines are important in knowing all the local and final tops, especially the one above.

I decided to replicate that monthly trendline in the Tradingview account I created for public use. Though, I used green at the top and red at the bottom.

When you login, select BTC and change it to 1 month TF and you'll see the bigger picture of the market.

Dwelling in lower TF (1min to 1hr) is a sign of desperation except you're scalping. I used to do it, so don't get me wrong.

Good for you. No need to upload it. I am improving everyday and learning from my mistakes.
You might be right about the bear trap. BTC is still bullish overall.
But after the next rally, I am very certain a big dump will occur.

Looking at this image below, even the blind can see that we're heading to the yellow dot at the top this month, then down to the one at the bottom next month.

That monthly hammer head candle is now looking like a dragonfly doji and it's a sign there is an upward momentum.

So, heading to the upper yellow seems more feasible, but as we all know, I don't control the market, hence things can change based on global tussles or pandemic like chikungunya, ebola, COVID, etc.
