I think the Captain was on point for deboarding KWAM 1.

She acted within her expected duties and authority.

Where she went too far was initiating departure without clearance. KWAM 1 wasn't the only person on the grounds. There were also ground marshals and other ground crew around.

The police should have been involved at some point.

Yeah. That issue was meant to be handled by the police or airport security. The police bundle people out of the airport and plane all the time.

If it was in a saner, well developed country. K1 would be slammed with a lawsuit & probably jailtime and the pilot would only be suspended

In a developed country, KWAM 1 would be arrested and it won't get to that point of him being almost ran over.

If that plane had hit him, it would simply proved that Africans are still largely uncivilized. It would have been a national embarrassment all over the world.

the Valuejet Embraer CRJ-900 that deboarded Kwam 1 for unruly behavior in Abuja on the 5th of August.

She's happily married to Captain Isaac Ogoyi who flies for Uganda Airlines.

She's a pilot of over 10 years. Captain Oluranti joined valuejet some years ago after flying for Arik for many years.

We thank God there is no casualty. KWAM 1 was showing thuggery. The Pilot was displaying reckless unprofessionalism. FAAN should go and lock the 2 of them in the same prison and KWAM 1 should be warned that the pilot must not get pregnant. I rise.

Yes. That action alone of him being arrested for unruly behavior would have landed him in hot soup. Lots of jail time and ban for life by airlines. But you are right. He must have used his "do-you-know-who-I-am" card to force to cause trouble and those ones were scared of touching him.

Gladly, it did not end badly for both Wasiu and the Pilot. The pilot is still young and has a lot of flying years ahead of her. It was really a close one.

A male pilot wudnt act irrational if he were in same situation...reason women sudnt be given these sort of sensitive roles ... they allow their emotions always get a better of them.... she actually went against safety measures cos sheee was angry he poured the liquid on her.... he was wrong very wrong...but she also was very wrong....she could have killed him and the ground crew if they dint dodge...no one woul have been talking about his unruly behaviour
