Damn! An avenue for those in that ministry to loot and reloot. We are not serious yet in this country. Meanwhile, tinubu supporters should pray GEJ shouldn't come back because if he decides to contest, both Atiku, Obi and tinubu combined together won't see quarter of the vote of GeJ. The man will win before 6am on the day of election. Nigeria have never been this worst since APC took over |

SalamRushdie:It is called maintenance. The same way you service your car. How many times in a year do you service your everyday car. Maintenance is different from repair. Most Nigerians actually don't understand English NwaIgboBoy:Are you actually drawing a comparison between brushing your teeth and maintenance of a bridge? Exousiang01:I got an A in English you probably didn't so keep quiet , I know what my comment was about , it's no secret 3rd mainland bridge repairs or maintenance is a corruption laden pipeline z they shut the bridge to traffic , take money from FG account to maintain it and dont actually do anything most times ..Fashola closed that bridge for 6 months and did t fix a single pothole on it when asked he said it was structural repairs |

Exousiang01:Mr English teacher, the way you maintain your oral hygiene every morning, should it be the same way you maintain a bridge every morning? Didn't you learnt that periods of maintenance differs? Something like higher bridges like 3rd mainland isn't supposed to be maintained every morning, like you wish. It is costing the nation a lots of money. As a result, their main aim of the ruse maintenance is to loot and reloot the money simple. |

In my life time federal government has ordered for mentainance of roads in Lagos over 50 times, yet a federal road in Akwa Ibom and Cross River States remain a death trap till today. The way and manner federal government invest in Lagos to the detriment of other important states is alarming. Someone should make it make sense to me. |

SalamRushdie:The third mainland bridge has structural problems due to a 20-year lack of annual maintenance by both the military and civilian government. When Fashaloa shut down the bridge for 6 months, he was conducting structural work/maintenance and not road maintenance. You are justified in being suspicious about the government using these maintenance programs to steal funds. This is a common problem in the UK, where road work that should take 3 days would take 3 weeks. This is where the NASS should step in, but they are only interested in padding the budget. |

Most Nigerians actually don't understand English Are you actually drawing a comparison between brushing your teeth and maintenance of a bridge? Hmmmm No, I’m drawing a comparison on how you failed to understand that quality is the best form of economy. When the actual cost of maintaining a bridge is, let’s say, around ₦1 billion, and the funds are allocated, your corrupt politicians the same ones people like you keep voting for loot half of the money. Then the contractor goes ahead and does a ₦5 million maintenance job for you. Don’t you realize that, in a short time, you’ll need to come back and approve another billion for the same bridge maintenance? Meanwhile, the money keeps going into private accounts, while people like you who don’t pay taxes or contribute any real economic value to Nigeria will still be praising the government for making you even poorer. |

But how many times are they going to be repairing this bridge in a year? Isn't it obvious this bridge is becoming overstretched and the need for a 4th mainland Bridge is imminent to avoid any major structural damages to such important infrastructure? Or is it a case of them using it as an avenue to syphon money as usual? 🤔🤔🤔 |
