Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika has said that the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) will commence an immediate investigation into the collision between a passenger train and a bus conveying some civil servants to their work places in Lagos on Thursday morning, IGBERETV reports.

According to Sirika, NSIB will unravel the immediate and remote causes of the accident and proffer ways of preventing such in the future.

Sirika, in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Dr. James Odaudu, solicited the cooperation of members of the public as investigation by the NSIB team commences.

The Minister also commiserated with the government and people of Lagos State, especially those who have lost their loved ones, and prayed for the quick recovery of those injured in the accident.

Okay na. Amaechi is supposed to be talking about this being that he built the rail. He did well, kudos Amaechi. But he overated himself and decided to face the Jagaban in a contest, something that even Obasanjo cannot do.

What was the driver thinking?
Was he high on drug, alcohol or something? Was it a Spiritual attack ?
All this question is going on my mind right now...
There is no need for any investigation. It is a sheer waste of time and resources

May GOD console every family affected..
Untimely death can never be our portion 🙏

If the driver is still alive, he should be castrated immediately or skin alive. Heartless and reckless driver.

Can't understand how a bus will move on a track of a moving train
Likely the carelessness of the driver
Was there an NRC personnel with flag to stop cars ?
Souls lost unjustly.
May their souls RIP

That bus had no business being in the line of a train. A lot happens in this country due to unaccountability and a lack of responsibility.

If you check, that driver probably got that job due to an unjust party reward system. There are many of them in public service and their arrogance is unbelievable angry

It is an unfortunate incident quiet alright but it has sadly been a recurrent issue @ almost the same railway corridor.

So the issue here, is proactiveness in avoiding repeats, gate barrier closure with train approaching, environmental safety consciousness and penalising any erring motoring etc

Exactly, a proper root cause analysis should be conducted immediately.
With the root cause analysis, rules should be put in place to prevent further occurrences

Pls people should be reasonable, a tragic occurrence happens that claim lives and people are in pains, some people will take the thread as an opportunity to start politics. Are u normal?

Nonsense. Both state and federal government should be sued for negligence but I doubt that would ever happen.

You failed to provide all the necessary precautions in place hence , the sad occurrence. There are people on the NRC steady payrolls who are supposed to man those intersection but refused to report there. Lagos State government as a means of protecting her people was supposed to have installed traffic light at those locations.

They think the fast speed train is yam abi? They'd be busy packing fried humans along the track everyday if cafe isn't taken with their negligence by the time the literail commences operation. No sensitization, nothing as we speak. They always want to copy the west but upside down. Over there, their government care about their people by putting those infrastructure in place. But here, the reverse is the case. They'd rather milk their people dry at the slightest opportunity.
