Benin Republic Graduate (cotonou) by waziri01(op): 11:49am On Aug 08, 2025
Hi I want a candid advice.

I am currently 32 years of age, graduate of one university in Benin Republic working with an NGO in northern Nigeria. I have interest to further my studies but it seems their is no possible here locally in Nigeria because of accreditation issues which given me headaches to achieve my mission (graduate studies).

So I would like to ask if there is any possible way to do so and please remember am also working with an NGO which doesn't consider allowing leaving working for any reason

Your request might be challenging for local Nigerian universities due to issues with fake certificates from Benin Republic. However, you could explore UNICAF they partner with foreign institutions that may accept your credentials, provided you’re prepared to pay tuition in dollars at black-market exchange rates.

P.S.: Why did you start your comment with your age, though?

RIP English. This is just a tragicomedy. Funny enough, he's more likely to get a federal job or political appointment than his better educated peers from the south.

Your English really shows you would be better with French I guess.
That is to say , we should have our own regional languages as part of Lingua franca

There may be no way to beat it. Not too long ago, the FG moved against such certificates from the Republic of Benin. Sorry to say that you are carrying a mere piece of paper in your hands and not a certificate to take you anywhere in the country. You may have to start all over again, either in Nigeria or another country, who’s certificates are acknowledged here.

If you're planning to use a Benin certificate for Nigerian schools, forget it. Better go buy your JAMB form!

I think Nigerian Ministry of education cleared some universities in Benin Republic, so it depends on the one you finished from.

Try and check the list by making a Google search to see if your school is among those cleared by Ministry of education

If you like do a course of 10years with an unaccredited school.., those years are all wasted.

There are so many 3bedroom apartment universities everywhere now. What is important is are they accredited and also for the course they offer.

Scammers have put eyes into education sectors too.

What I can deduce from your story is that you are enslaved to the job. Why seek counsel when you already have the answer to your question? I wish you well — je te souhaite bonne chance.

LoL 😂

Your question is succinct.

Many of them buys the certificate with N1 million. But it's higher now because of depreciation of the naira.

A lot happens in Benin universities. Many being run by Nigerian entrepreneurs.

His English alone tells a lot. That he is parading fake certificate.

Bendeco02:
Oga talk what you know

Am working with one of the best federal work, i won't mention it for a reason.

Some people here were regularized with Benin Certificate few months ago.

As i said, talk what you know

When did FG came out to declare Benin certs holders invalid or won't be given job? Instead they disregard the previous statement from former miniser of Education.

You think people that will work in place like NNPC, CBN, Custom will ever follow you talk or argue about uni certs? People that have the job knows themselves and no one can query their cert.

Use your UI cert go and look for job there and know whether anyone will even look your face talk more of giving you job undecided
What are you insinuating here?

Benin universities certificate holders have been banned from employment in Nigeria because they parade fake certificates.

Because of your comments, further action would soon be taken to flush out Benin certificate holders from office. Some of the holders may face the full wrath of the law.
