This is not encouraging at all. Please do not wish him this
I did not wish him death, he/she asked a question and I answered. Hiv has no cure and no god can cure that. He should eat healthy and always take his/her drugs. If he stops the drugs cus he/she wants to know what will happen, then death crawls in slowly.

you're craaaaazzzzzy for telling him that. Who told you he will die?
He's going to die if he stops he's treatment. Let call a spade a spade pls.
Hiv on early stage ( of which I don't know his own stage) when left untreated, could lead to weakened immune system, grow to aids state, etc.
You people should get your facts right and stop deceiving the young lad.

While it is not a death sentence, it only becomes a death sentence when you refuse to follow the rules and regulations of treatment.

He asked a question and I answered., and besides nobody wants to die from a silly mistake they made. But people telling him nothing will happen if he stops the pills, that he should eat enough veggies and maintain good lifestyle, lol . While all these are still a good move, bro you need that drug to survive. It's just like telling someone who depends on oxygen to live, that he should do away with the oxygen and just eat good food/veggies and maintain a good lifestyle, the if he/she do all that, they're going to be okay. Lol worst place to take advice is from nairaland

Your concern is real my friend but I'm happy you have a good job & can afford your medication now. Don't die before death comes. Live your life normally & take your medication. There are a number of diseases worse than HIV, especially some neurological conditions. What about cancers? HIV is not a death sentence!

Whoever told you that Magic Johnson is no longer HIV positive? Stop misleading people. MJ is still HIV positive, the virus remains in your system forever but you will become undetectable after some time if you are on anti retroviral medication because the viral load has become very low.
Magic Johnson is no longer living with HiV. Since 1992, there's no record of any one with such romance with HiV in the world for over 33 years. Those AZT drugs are sold in the US for 32k dollars a year and Bill Gates sends it to us for free. Killing our people for our mumu. The women who welcomed George Bush in Abuja as those living with HiV have moved to duplex after collecting their appearance fee. Calabar carnival is packaged by an NGO to stop the spread of HiV. Come and set up an NGO in Lagos for HiV and you will never get funds unless you go to Ondo and Bayelsa. Do not join the enemy to destroy your people.

Hmmm! if you have anybody with this ailments tell them to use red Jetropher, cinnamon, casia alata and Aidin fruit for 3-6 month and comeback here to come here to debunk my claim. They are common leaf that you can find around you, so it may actually cost you nothing to try for the period of 3-6 month. If you try it within a month you will experience serious improvement and changes in your condition.
natural remedies can seem like a hopeful solution, especially when dealing with serious health conditions like HIV. Many people around the world use herbs and plants for general well-being, and some may offer benefits for symptoms or immune support. However, it's important to be clear and responsible when talking about something as serious as an HIV cure.

There is currently no scientific evidence that red Jetropher, cinnamon, cassia alata, or Aidin fruit can cure HIV. HIV is a complex virus that integrates into the DNA of human cells, which is why curing it has been such a challenge for researchers for decades. While antiretroviral therapy (ART) doesn't "cure" HIV, it is proven to control the virus effectively, allowing people with HIV to live long, healthy lives and reduce their viral load to undetectable levels.

Making claims that a combination of leaves can cure HIV without clinical trials or peer-reviewed research can be dangerous. It may lead people to stop taking their prescribed medication, which can result in rapid health decline, drug resistance, or even death.

If you've personally experienced health improvements from using herbs, that's worth noting — but it’s very different from scientifically proving a cure. The responsible approach would be to encourage people to combine traditional knowledge with medical science, not replace one with the other.

Anyone considering alternative treatments should do so in consultation with a qualified healthcare provider, especially when managing a condition as serious as HIV.

Let’s stay open to all knowledge — but also grounded in facts, evidence, and the ethical responsibility to avoid giving false hope.

I only picked you on you saying MJ is no longer "HIV positive" but you started writing gibberish and what is out of point. Your level of ignorance is alarming. I can't believe that with all the media sensitization about HIV people are still ignorant. Again stop misleading people.
If you are telling me that MJ is no longer HIV positive it means he has been cured of it SMH!
HIV doesn't have a cure but the medication will reduce the viral load in your body and you become undetectable because the viral load is now very low. Is that too difficult to understand? A simple search is even good use to get better understanding.

There will be no cure. No need to soothe his pain. You even said you're a medical lab practitioner. HIV is an RNA INTRAcellular parasite that attaches to it's host DNA and uses it to replicate

This thought came into my mind before I read your post. I'm yet to hear about Russia in humanitarian sector like health, it's only about war and destruction.

Seriously, let's give it to the USA because they've really tried hard in gathering sound medical professionals around the world to carry out medical research with huge fundings from the government
ofcourse, we should give it to the USA knowing very well they created the virus so they have to fund it to find cure.

Most young people my age worry about grades, jobs, or love.

I worry about whether I’ll be able to afford the medication that keeps me alive.

The number one fear of most AYPLHIV (Adolescents and Young People Living with HIV) is a future where we have to pay for all the daily medications and regular tests that we need to stay alive.

This fear is valid because there is real uncertainty around the future funding of HIV programmes in Nigeria. I’ve been fortunate enough to get higher education that gave me tech skills: the kind of skills that will guarantee me a steady source of income in the future. But the reality?

Most AYPLHIV don’t have the means to acquire such skills or access higher education. And even when some finally get a job, it’s often far from where they can access their medication forcing them to reject the offer entirely.

If there were more funding for HIV programmes, there could be more centers. That would mean AYPLHIV wouldn’t have to choose between a career and their health.

There’s a beauty and peace in being “normal” that AYPLHIV may never get to experience. But life can be made much easier if support structures are put in place.

That’s why I am committed to advocating for this for the rest of my life.

What about you?

If this was your life, what’s the very first change you’d want to see in Nigeria’s health system? I’m listening.

Hey bro sorry to hear about that i pray for you my brother and get well. Only advice i can offer is stay away from unprotected raw sex. its not safe for anyone. Yeah sure casual sex is great and fun but not interested in catching diseases or STDS. Random sex or hook ups is very risk. Hence im very conserative towards that topic.

Like how much would the injection💉 cost?
RetroviralS:
True, eating well helps a lot.
The Lenacapivir; twice-a-year injection is real, but sadly, it’s not yet easy to get here or that affordable for most people.
That’s why we keep pushing for better access, so one day, no one has to depend on daily pills to stay alive.

With all your knowledge, has better treatment stopped the progression of HiV to AiDs for 33 years? You are one of the people spreading false narratives about a virus that does not exist. You have been scammed to believe a lie. Salut. Nigerian women are now diagnosed with fibroid even at young age in the ratio of 1 out of 10 women, women who are still single. The multinationals in the health sector that moved out of the country were tired of killing us and moved out. The pampers and pads company that moved out has reduced the fertility rate of our women and girls that in the next 10 years, there is going to be high infertility in Nigeria, both male and female. Our young generation in their 20s are taking coco samba to enhance their sexual prowess and across Africa, the men are humbled and humiliated with weak erection. Continue defending viral load of the HiV until you become a victim of your narrative. Typhoid was first discovered in the US in the 70s yet it is now prevalent in all diagnosis even though it has been proven that it is impossible for anyone to suffer from malaria and Typhoid at the same time because we don't even have the equipment to test for Typhoid. Nigeria is waging a battle against our collective well being and you are defending bullshit. What was the cure for Covid? Russia and Ukraine war. We are fighting the GMO food that we are eating with the connivance of people like you. The 20 year old man that is working as a tech guy and buying the drugs for HiV is a narrative you guys are propagating will fail. Where is he buying the drugs from? Bill Gates or the 32k from the US?
I wish you goodluck but the people who join the enemy to destroy their own people will be destroyed and their seed will never be renowned. So says the Bible.

How did you contract HIV in your 20s?

This is a story I am interested in

As for the pills, health personnel will address that issue.
I appreciate your concern but my story is personal, what matters most is the reality many AYPLHIV face when it comes to having access to medication and healthcare support.
