Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has stated that Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, won the presidential election in Rivers State.

Speaking on Saturday during an X Space discussion, the former Rivers State governor said, “I can agree with you to some extent that Obi won Rivers State, but I don’t know how the results were changed.”

Amaechi’s comment comes amid controversy over the outcome of the February 2023 presidential election in Rivers State, where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner.

During the same discussion, Amaechi also revealed that he and former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, initiated talks that led to the formation of the opposition coalition now working to challenge the ruling party ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, what began as a private conversation between the two was later expanded to include prominent political figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Secretaries to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal and Boss Mustapha, former Senate President David Mark, ex-Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, and former Sports Minister Bolaji Abdullahi, among others.

The coalition has since adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its political platform.

Go and use it to claim presidency in Aso rock then. And will you even think of voting for Amechi if he has to tell you that now. Of what relevant is it to tell you now? Aside that, close to 70 lawyers of Obi couldn't prove that and how he won it. Obi said he won and he would prove it , but unfortunately; he was only busy entertaining us in 2023. He couldn't prove anything that he won

Not only did he officially win it, in reality, he won it by a very wide margin, similar to the margin he used to win Abuja.

Overnight, Wike gave orders to his boys that literally turned Rivers around.

Everybody knows that. Even Mahmoud Yakubu, Wike & Tinubu are very much aware.

That Rivers results confirms APC and Wike's reputation as confirmed crude election riggers without proper finesse.

They could not even hide the rigging and do it with brains. grin

In fact, the heist was so glaring that some APC members were jittery that it would negatively affect Tinubu's case in the court, and accused Wike of rigging without proper strategy, in order to prevent Tinubu's bid to become president.

Some other APC members and Tinubu loyalists were afraid of the bad way the rigging was done, and called that INEC should deduct the Rivers votes and declare the other votes, since Tinubu would still be ahead regardless, though by slim margin.

They were morbidly afraid that if the courts yanks off those votes, they (court) might declare the election null and void by taking the validity of results from others states with a pinch of salt.

But Alas, the jegudujera judges had their prices and were simply waiting at the courts to take their own share of the dollar loots shared to electoral delegates, voters and INEC officers. Dispensing electoral justice was never part of their plans.

Any wonder they were afraid of showing their faces on camera during the Supreme court proceedings that were televised? They were so ashamed to face the people, after selling the country wholesale by giving justice to the highest bidder.

It was clear that Tinubu won only 4 states in the entire South. All four were from his Southwestern region and he couldn't even win Lagos and Osun, his state of residence and state of origin respectively. This calls into question, his posture as the Southern candidate. The South didn't vote Tinubu. Northerners made him President but today, Agbadorians claim that he has demystified the North just because he failed to show gratitude. "The North remembers" is not just a slogan. It's real fact. Jonathan coming into the race will be a nightmare for Tinubu because he'll have a stronger credential as the "Southern candidate" and he's free of every term encumbrance. He will make Tinubu bleed votes in the North due to recency bias.

Amechi is just pressing mumu button of obidients. He knew Obi won and he couldn't talk or raise his voice for people to know because he was in the government then. It means Amechi is even more corrupt. Why now telling us when it is not needed or is it because Amechi is hungry?

How is it possible to make those changes to reverse Obi winning within minutes and no LP party agent was able to see that despite they were warned not to leave until votes are counted and signed? How come there was no even single protest from people in rivers to support they truly voted for Obi or did they not vote and counted votes before they left voting center ? Close to 70 lawyers of Obi couldn't proof he won despite INEC gave them all they wanted to prove they won, unfortunately; it was clear they (LP and Obi) loose

Ekiti.

Everything else was written for him while INEC told us to go to court.

But the fear now is that they know INEC can no longer deceive us that they will transmit results electronically.

Again, they know we will no longer wait to be told “go to court”.

Same way Obi got 1.2 million votes in Plateau and 3.5 million votes in Bauchi and 6 million votes in Lagos.

If Amaechi, Atiku and Obi believed Obi won, how come they were fixated on false double nomination of Shettima? How come someone was talking about forfeiture and did not find anyone from the US to corroborate the claim? How come they never supplied alternative figures to counter what INEC declared?

How come no one ever asked to recount the votes like was done in Florida?

Peter Obi won 2023 Presidential election. That is why APC despise Peter Obi. The same reason Tinubu forgave Reno Omockery and hired him to be attacking Peter Obi on daily basis.

INEC only shutdown the irev portal to enable them manipulate the results and fabricate 8million plus votes to announce Tinubu winner at midnight angry

Posterity will judge Yakubu, Tinubu and all INEC staffs that participated in that heartless rigging angry
