If you believe deep in your heart and speak it as often times as possible that you will someday in no distant time travel to saner climates of the world, then nature forces will activate it and it’ll definitely come to pass. I am speaking from experience. I used to be someone in same bracket years back but today I hold an EU country passport and travelled to several countries. Only believe and let God do the rest.

So I calculated my cost of living in UK and converted to naira and put it against my Nigerian cost of living. Annually. My UK cost of living is 37 times more. Like for example if I spend 1000 naira annually in naija in UK the figure will be 37000 naira

Things are pretty cost even in abroad… here to enjoy good burger now.. just budget $17-$21… for just fast food oh

wow are you serious bro ? Burger is now 20 dollars ? That's about 40k, it's not too bad because I am sure burgers over here will be like 15 to 20 k but our local foods, with 5k you will eat good and so the burger is like 8 times more expensive than a bowl of jollof and plantain and chicken

Yeah,, burger starts from $17 if you buying from place like Mac or Burger King.. but in Nigeria the least is 5k and it’s not bad the last time I came home and tried it…

But in all Nigeria got good purchasing power! 5k is good to eat good meal at local Abula joint

5k in America which is $3 won’t get u any good thing to eat!

Minimum wage in London as at April 2025 is £12.21 per hour. That means despite the high cost, it will take an hour of work for a londoner to afford it.

Minimum wage in Nigeria on paper is 70k a month. If you convert it to hourly, that will be 70000 divide by 160 hours of work a month which gives you 437.5 naira per hour. How many days of work will it take a Nigerian worker to afford the cheap 5k burger in Nigeria?

I'm sure you have a degree. Our educational system has failed us. No wonder employers will say there are lots of unemployable graduates in Nigeria, this is an evidence. If you can't make basic analysis, how can you solve the simplest of issues?
