If Peter Obi wants to be president of Nigeria, let him run with Atiku Abubakar to wrestle power from APC in 2027 with strong Promise that Atiku will hand over to him.The world is aware that the present federal government has failed and looking for alternative to Tinubu failed government. However, part of the north may not give massive support to someone from the north who will spend more than one tenure in office so that power will return to the north as per zoning formulae instead they will support a northerner to unseat Tinubu,they did it to Jonathan Goodluck.

A man who once swore publicly—on his life—never to leave APGA, yet dumped it to join Jonathan’s administration for personal gain, later abandoned PDP for Labour Party. His so-called loyalty to Labour Party is, at best, questionable. Such a man cannot be trusted to stand by his word.

He claimed to own only one shoe, one house, and one wristwatch—lies that have since been exposed as political gimmicks to hoodwink the public. With no real economic blueprint, only populist slogans and recycled buzzwords dressed up as development plans, he has proven himself untrustworthy and hollow.

What we are left with is a loud but inconsequential minority, desperately trying to smuggle their self-appointed messiah into Aso Rock.

Obi had eight full years in a small state like Anambra to implement his so-called “fantastic” policies, yet his performance fell far short of the hype. Add to that his history as a serial party hopper with no consistent political loyalty, and it’s clear such a character cannot be trusted.

What we see today is a carefully packaged social-media creation, pushed by a disgruntled few who peddle a fictional record of his time in Anambra, along with the illusion that if Obi becomes president, Nigeria will magically transform into Dubai overnight—without the hard, painful reforms such change would require. But his actual record tells a different story, and history shows that such figures always fail in power. This will be no exception.
