Thanks bro for the info, for the registration fee and application did it take you up to a million naira plus, I saw the one for MS Computer Science , both application and registration fee were around 95,000 ISK which is close to a million naira, after doing the conversion.

Lastly , apart from the registration and application fees , are there other payments?
Yes it cost me up to a million naira.

Other fees/payments required by directorate of immigration

• medical insurance
• resident permit
• legalization of document (marriage/birth cert)

Then of course accommodation, and visa application (which will still be refunded back to you)

If you are looking at migrating to Iceland via study route, here are some tips I believe will be helpful. At least these were how I went about pursuing mine.

1. Look for an English taught course (note: as at this moment, tuition is free for majority of courses both those taught in English or Icelandic)

2. Have your IELTS sorted
3. Have your certificates and transcript ready
4. Send in your application as soon as the school starts receiving application

Once you receive your admission letter,

5a. Pay the following: registration fee, resident permit fee, and medical insurance.

5b. Get your police clearance certificate
6. Apply for resident permit

7. Send the required documents via DHL to Iceland immigration services. You will be sent a checklist of the documents you're required to submit.

8. Then you can proceed to register for student accommodation where you will be placed in queue. And when it's your turn, you will be assigned or allocated your chosen or available accommodation. After which you will be required to make a deposit, and subsequently...
Bro please is the ielts compulsory to get and how much total one should budget for master's program?

Unfortunately I don't have much info about USA japa via study route. But if I were in your shoe and have 40m of my own money, I would rather look towards Europe, Italy, Luxembourg, or Denmark. But not via study sha.

I applied in Jan. Your academic documents, transcript, IELTS result, and proof of application fee payment. If offered admission, you will be informed of the next steps required to proceed.

Check universities in Eastern and Central Europe that is cheap.
Re: Can A 35-40 Years Old Study Abroad As An Undergraduate? by Amgoodtogo:
Alright folks, so I haven't posted anything lately cause nothing much has happened except me waiting for my resident permit.
And after about two months of waiting (resident permit application submitted 30th May 2025), I'm glad to announce that my permit is finally out.

Next steps:

Head to VSF Global to submit the following document for onward issuing of my Visa.

1. Official resident permit decision letter
2. International passport
3. Passport data page
4. Passport photograph
Re: Can A 35-40 Years Old Study Abroad As An Undergraduate? by Amgoodtogo:
So today, I was able to book appointment for tomorrow with VFS Global for my Visa. Norwegian embassy in Nairobi oversees the issuing of visa for Iceland.

Here are the payments I made today

1. Payment for VFS Global service: N90k
2. Payment of Visa application fee: €90 (N162,000) this is actually not supposed to be paid for, so I am told I'll be getting a refund.
3. Then I'll be expected to pay courier charges, N35k

Will update as my Waka take go.
