In a rare and colourful celebration, a Nigerian man identified as Chinedu made headlines after marrying two wives—Blessing and Kelechi—on the same day.

The joint traditional wedding took place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Umuacha/Amuzu Primary School, located in Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The festive occasion was marked by rich cultural displays, traditional marriage rites, lively music, and spirited dancing, as family, friends, and community members gathered to witness the union.

Growing up, there was this man living down our street that married 3 wives. Very diminutive struggling man. I have vivid memories of him running to take refuge in my Dad's compound when the wives are beating him for not being able to buy enough foodstuff.

This groom reminds me of the man.
