Rubbish write-up.

Most kids experienced these growing up all over Nigeria.

What is peculiar to eating rice on Sundays, for example?

7. Turning the Compound into a Playground
Shared compounds were mini-communities where everyone knew everyone — and your neighbor’s aunty could discipline you like her own child.

This is one aspect I missed so much back in those good old days.

There was so much friendliness those days unlike now!

Disadvantage of living one's entire life in same environment. A frog in a well says " the sky's no bigger than the mouth of my well".

You didn’t add the ewa agoyin with hot bread: my number one unforgettable experience. Everywhere I have stayed I haven’t seen anyone close to that experience.
agege bread then.

One of my favourite bread of all time. Don't know if they still make it. I left Lagos since 2009.

I never tried the ewagoyin with bread though. As a young boy then I don't like mixing foods (even till now) so it's rare for me to try new foods or mix foods I don't already eat

Iragbiji and Ikot-Ekpene have 24/7 NEPA light, as far as OP is concerned.

People in Umuchukwu and Sokoto don't enter public transport bus or buy from hawkers. Werey too much in this 9ja o. grin grin

Same for Benin except number 5 where you replace tuketuke with Danfo.

Lagos had unique things like going to Bar beach or learning and preferring to cross expressways rather than the overhead bridge.

Having friends amongst locals and none locals is always a major problem. Cos you don't know who is who. Before them count you join wetin you nor know anything about.

Lagos could be honestly lonely at times..

Rice was so common, even kids in public schools whose parents give money for breakfast, buy rice from mama put on their way to school

One thing that fascinates me about Lagos is the unique relationship between bus drivers and their conductors. It is a much underrated business synergy that can only be found on the streets, literally. They communicate using codes, slang and gestures. The etiquette of bus conductors should also be the subject of a separate study grin

Aside from number 6... Nothing more specific that you won't see in large quantities elsewhere.
