I am not a lawyer and thought I was a lone voice in condemning Ibom Air for assaulting Ms.Emmanson and uploading her boonie online. Two wrongs can't make a right. The ban on her was uncalled for without even hearing her own point of view. Her behavior was unruly , but Ibom Air don't have the right to treat her as an animal without a right.Even that air hostess obstruct Ms. Emmanson from alighting. |

everybody will jump on this matter. NBA will talk their own, CSO will use her to justify funding, VDM will jump on it, Honest bunch, Arise and all the usual suspects will use her matter to gain viewers. At the end of the day her story will be forgotten and she will never be able to travel on any airline for the rest of her life. going by the videos of her on instagram etc, I am sure she was paid by a sponsor to come to Lagos for hookup. |

The rush by Ibom Air to put up that stupid statement, the madness by AON and NCAA tells how low our institutions (Private/Public) have degraded to! Nonsense, I pray they pay heavily for this, and the stupid judge who gave the remand order without a fair hearing, all of them PAPA! Maxymilliano: |

I used AI to ask for the disruptive behavior of passengers before Nigerians come with rights (after they left their good behavior at home, only to be disturbing someone else with their bad behavior outside). AI contains some inaccuracies but let me use this to educate Nigerians and rights or those who talk about customer service but not customer disservice. ICAO outlines various behaviors that could be considered "unruly" or disruptive on an aircraft. These behaviors could be classified as:Maybe many passengers are uninformed. Many Nigerians have a problem with obeying instructions. The I Too Know makes them behave like they know the job or they have been offended. What they don't tell you is how they behaved.

Even though I enjoyed seeing the Lady's mammary glands, just like every other average Nigerian young guy, I still move a motion for the airline to be sanctioned for their unruly behaviour and the lady's life ban by AON be reversed. Thanks to NBA for this nod in support of the poor lady. From my encounter with the air hostesses, some of them are slightly rude in their approach, but because of how they accost passengers, most of us don't take note of their behaviour. More so, u don't just issue an order banning someone as a private agency, when there's a regulatory body that has the incumbency of issuing such statements. At this juncture, Festus Keyamo should do his job as the minister for Aviation. Thank goodness he is a Senior Lawyer. |

Putting phone on airplane mode is not good enough bc it will take just a click for a mischievous passenger to remove it from airplane mode thereby endangering d lives of all on board. |

I don't know the problem with civil servants...the other day in a public hospital the attendant there was talking anyhow..once they enter government office or wear uniform they become something else...like "We will deal with you and nothing will happen". I hope all those employees in uniform in the video loose their jobs. So all civil servants will learn. Even when you go the MM1 AND MM2 they just jag your car when you park wrongly and take you to pay fines... None of them would even tell you or direct you where to park if you are a new driver. It's wrong....no prior warnings... Did they even enlighten the passenger of the do's and don't s of been in an airplane? Sharp once you do something unknowingly wrong they gag you..and tell you to pay fines. We demand justice for this lady. Because this is injustice in Tinubu's so called Lagos. The other day, quote author=Maxymilliano post=136432199] https://punchng.com/nba-condemns-ibom-airs-treatment-of-passenger-demands-investigation/?fbclid=IwY2xjawMILOhleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFBMXdLWkJKSVloc1ZsNnJqAR7vVbKRXOgfAGO-49tgac8uCdp-Bvo_z5pF1F2zVzPMhYMajTN4r8m7zdecow_aem_Ff7sO86A8jInk5WwxO3utw[/quote] |

Hmmmm, nigeria, I just tire for the country. If she committed a crime or whatever while onboard, the plane landed safely already, while not let her get off the plane and security take charge, why prevent her from coming down, then call security to drag her down. We have heard about police, dss, efcc picking up people on arrival at the airport, they need not enter the plane to do that, when it's not a departure. People in authority use their position to provoke but don't want equal measure of their actions as a reaction. Why should a co-passenger snatch her phone to turn it off. I walked into a The Place restaurant inside Ikeja GRA, the way the attendants responded was nothing to write home about, I just left there and drove down to another branch, none of the two idiots could even call me back and they continued with their chit chatting. My usual self would have reported her straight away, but I let it slide. I once told a supervisor in that same branch that one of her ladies is grossly irresponsible and not fit in to relate with patrons, she apologised and I left. |

Abi, it’s an airport for God sake, there are immigration officers you could report her to, and they wouldn’t allow her to leave the airport. Instead, you’re just standing there blocking her path. Why is everything in this country so upside down? I’m sure if those air hostesses had been hired on merit rather than nepotism, they would have been educated enough to know the right thing even without aviation training . bunnae: |

People are now coming to their right senses after watching the second clips !! Nigerians are sentimental and extremely emotional. The unprofessional attitude by the Ibom Airlines Staff is a true reflection of NIGERIA as a whole. Dehumanising a fellow human being because of a disagreement on the plane is disgusting and should be condemned and compensated along with an apology. What is happening to Mr Wasiu Sikiru who splashed substances to the Pilot ? |

billyG:You can turn on the phone and still have it on silent mode, it will interfere with the system that way. Just consistently educate passengers onboard and the dangers, it helps to douse tension. I think NCAA needs to come out to speak on this phone rules, it's a security and safety issue, so no airline will be able to make his own rules in respect to it. Also, I think the regulatory agency needs to address another issue that do cause chaos, that is, flying luggages different from the passengers, I know such is a norm globally, but it has been serially abused here, considering that flight gets delayed or cancelled unnecessarily, there should be a better way to manage such. |

btaliat:Then why attack k1 ?? He was also provoked , he said the flask contained water which isn't an illegal substance on flight .... you all still attacked him , no one gave him a chance ....u all dint wanna believe him, u all called I alcohol , despite him saying he bought the water at the airport lounge and NCAA should verify.... but all of a sudden because say n woman, u automatically believed the phone was on airplane mode ... why the double standard?? Infact K1 had a better excuse than this woman and he didn't physically assault anyone. and he almost lost his life ... u all applauded the pilot... but a airhostess that was physically assaulted multiple times should vbe sanctioned?? Are I all normal in this Nigeria?? |

Ibom Air messed up on this one,big time It was not their place to restrict her from leaving with no cause, how is that different from kidnapping? Even arrests come with your rights been read to you... I'm summary it appears ibom Air staff ganged up and collectively assaulted her, also stripped her in the process.... Anyone that thinks that process was acceptable is not sane If The whole crew involved and captains of that flight are prosecuted as well, and also suspended from working for life.. would we view it as fair? |

ARISHEM:The court is blind. It neither hears nor sees anything except the facts which has been placed before it. If you claim that you lost money, you have to show the court that you had the money prior to the incident. And it must be accompanied with evidence. General damages and different from special damages. |

butterfly777:After asking her ti switch off her phone which is standard procedure....she refused, it was even another passenger that dragged the phone off her due to her unruly behavior and switched it off... she went into a rant with the air hostess and then attacked her with slaps. .... as the flight was in the air... they tried to restrain her, but she kept on making trouble all through the flight... the air hostess I formed the pilot and the pilot radioed control room and te incident and. Demanded for security to pick her up once they landed ... when they landed , other passengers were allowed to leave and they prevented her from leaving, to enforce the arrest , that's where te video started, the air hostess prevented her from leaving tye aircraft ... then when security officials arrived the aircraft , she refused to leave an took out the fire extinguisher to attack them , they disarmed her and dragged her out ...during the process , she held on to the curtain resisting arrest ... the airhostess tried to drag the curtain from her as she held on to it as they were dragging her out of the plane , that's why her top pulled out and her jugs were exposed ... so what wrong did the air hostess do ?? Why can't some Nigerians follow rules?? |

cr7lomo:The different portions of the video makes that air hostess of commiting a crime and just like the aviation minister said, he will have to get the rule book and see if the conduct of the flight crew towards the passenger was in line with legal protocols. Nevertheless from the various version in the media space, the scuffle started before the plane took flight and this conflict emerged when it landed at it's destination and all other passengers alighted and it occurred. The flight crew should have radioed airport security on ground for them to handle the issue rather than the air hostess who took it upon herself to restrict the lady from leaving the plane.......that is an offence too much. I heard the lady shouting in one of the videos that they wanted to steal her phone....... Please under what authority is any member of the flight crew taking her phone from her? The police doesn't even have that power without your consent or that of your lawyer depending on the gravity of the crime is any.....!!!! |
| Re: NBA Condemns Ibom Air’s Treatment Of Passenger, Demands Investigation by casualobserver: 5:52pm On Aug 12, 2025 |
ARISHEM:you people are delusional. To win a case she must show that she herself was of good behaviour and did not warrant the treatment she received. she must show she didnt resist arrest. if you resist arrest anything you see you see, No court will award any damages in her favour for anything that occurs while resisting arrest especially with the violent conduct she displayed. The only case she may have is the release of her nudes. She will have to prove who released it. it is the person who released it that she can sue. The airline has said it is not them. This is what they mean when they say he who comes to equity must come with clean hands, |

cr7lomo:Thank you for this info. I didnt know this, and I hadn't succeeded in getting info about her offense until this your input. And if this your account is true, I think what the conduct of the airline staff is more understandable. May God settle the case and help the parties involved to forgive n take to correction. |

cr7lomo:Will a foreign air hostess block a passenger from disembarking from a plane? Why didn't the airport security drag K1 when he was blocking the plane from moving? No one who has just been dehumanised will not attack those who dehumanised him/her. As an airline, try getting your male officials to uncloth a woman under the guise of forcefully removing her from a plane in the West and see your airline grounded for months |
| Re: NBA Condemns Ibom Air’s Treatment Of Passenger, Demands Investigation by bixton(m): 5:59pm On Aug 12, 2025 |
cr7lomo:The air hostess has no right to block the passenger from leaving the plane. Since you said they had called the airport security, they would have just allowed her to alight from thr plane while the airport security pick her up on the ground while she's still walking into the terminal sections |
| Re: NBA Condemns Ibom Air’s Treatment Of Passenger, Demands Investigation by btaliat(m): 6:00pm On Aug 12, 2025 |
cr7lomo:Those that abused K1 surely have the right to do so, though his case is entirely different. It is a must K1 revealed the content he was holding, but not a must for Comfort to switch her phone off. It is a terrorist act to stop a plane as K1 did, which is not in the case of Comfort. In fact, she was pleading to be allowed to alight. The only good thing K1 did, which is morally right, is his apology but not legally accepted. There is no apology in law. Guy, until we stop reading tribal and religious sentiment to issues in Nigeria, we are not ready. In as much as I love K1 and also being a Yoruba guy, I will never condone what Wasiu did, while keeping silent on injustice meted on Comfort, making her a laughing stock on the Internet. |
