Omo, see mumu argument

You people are funny cheesy

So because someone wasn't making millions before tinubu, he shouldn't criticize the awful job the man is doinghuh

What a clownish take.
Oga that's a fact in your face. You can't be complaining of poverty if you are already poor before Tinubu became President.

You can't go around telling people what to complain about.

Bad economies and horrible tax policies affects everybody both rich and poor.

If the poor have no say, then tinubu should've focused on only those who have millions while campaigning, luckily for you, he was smarter than that.

Someone that is into selling stationary just placed an order in preparation for students resuming in a months time and was so surprised with the drastic drop on price compared to last year.

You can keep crying. 😭 The stages expected to be experienced as a result of this administration's policies is gradual yielding positive results.

Like I said. If you werent counting millions before Tinubu became President you shouldnt be complaining in the tone of millions.

Quote this year price and post here if you're certain of what you said. Time for you to disgrace yourself.

Do you run a bookshop? There is no arguing this. The price has dropped compared to last year on wholesales.

You see what I am taking about. It simply means you are being exploited. Wholesales price of stationary has dropped big time compared to last year. Ask those who own bookshops who are already preparing for students resuming in September. Wholesales price of stationary has dropped very well compared to last year infact early this year. Nigerians are there own problems.

Boy, back what you said with proof. Upload the prices of last year with that of this year.

Okay let me make it easier. Upload the price of a carton of A4 paper of last year with that of this year.

You're the one who claimed prices of stationaries have dropped. I can't be the one proving your claim.

But its good you didn't take the bait. Next time don't say what you don't know.

What do you mean you don't know how we got here, Guobe? This is an interesting topic that should dominate frontpage.

In 1989, brand new Peugeot 504 was #80k. It was assembled in Nigeria. Volkswagen was assembled in Lagos. Leyland trucks in Ibadan.

Now all the Completely Knocked Down parts for these cars were imported. We weren't making anything. Then Babangida devalued the naira and those industries we had started dying off. Remember Bata shoes nao. Remember the textile industry. They all died with reduced purchasing power of the populace. People switched to tokunbo and we stopped manufacturing things we needed except for little things like sweets and biscuits and a few cosmetics.

We couldn't make components for tv and radio. The mobile phone industry came we couldn't manufacture anything that went into mobile phones. We import virtually everything.

Look at Taiwan. I bought my daughter a tennis racket days ago. I sent money and the racket was sent to me. It's a kennex. I googled it and it is a taiwanese product. Now that company was started in the backyard of the founder's father's house. It rose to become the world's largest racket maker cornering a quarter of the world market. It looks like a small thing but do you know how many people it would have employed way back then?

We don't have policies to enhance manufacturing. That's why we are here. Look at agriculture too. When you talk about food prices, some people say "go and start farming, lazy man". You feel like cursing such people. We have enough farmers in Nigeria already but the necessary industrial inputs and governmental policies are not available. The state governors are the most useless.

Look at education. So you see, that's how we got here. We are not deliberate about development. It's more about politics politics politics. And supporting useless politicians who don't care whether you lived or died. All in the name of tribalism and religion. Wo, let me stop
