onile1975:I did worldwide insurance from Axa. That is what I get whenever I travel anywhere. Worldwide insurance will cover Schengen too. Plus I’m going to non Schengen countries during my trip. I usually get it from Axa in Lagos. Paid 33k for a 4 week coverage. |

austino677:I’m first time for Schengen but I have USA, uk, and African travel history. Does travel history make processing faster? I can’t imagine that is the logic. Isn’t it whose file they pick first that they will look at and approve or deny asap |

Lekan2348:Yes, based on timeline been shared here most people with USA travel history received feedback from tls fast within one week, some two weeks although it's not always guaranteed for quick response... Na to wait for collection and approval |

Lekan2348:yup travel history makes vetting easier and faster....anyone with usa and uk visa is likely solid...as these countries dont give their visas easily...so am assuming the schengen people skip some vetting steps for such people..hence faster processing times |

so could someone clarify for me.. 1. is it a must that one must enter the schengen area tru the country 1 applied to? ( note i didnt say i wud be going to other schengen countries in my application , but plans hv changed and am considering touching 2 or 3 other countries} 2. i was given a single entry 30 days visa- france (2wks max stay), does this single entry apply to other schengen countries i may choose to enter -- if i decide to explore other countries during my trip. 3. does this 2wks maximum stay also apply to other schengen countries i may choose to visit? |

Lekan2348:@ lekan thanks for your response 1) Is ur passport number written on the insurance certificate issue to you? 2) Please help me send there contact phone number,I want to purchase insurance |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by onile1975: 5:59pm On Aug 14, 2025 |
whiteMandingo:@ white Mandingo 1) No not a must 2) single entry means you use the visa once to enter Schengen country 3) The two weeks permit you to stay in all Schengen area,if you like you can visit four Schengen countries in a day,if you have the energy and money you can visit all the 26 countries in the Schengen area within the two weeks.is not an offence to visit all Schengen countries in a trip. Please which insurance company did you use to get ur visa, and please help me send there contact phone number |

onile1975:1. The passport number is written on it. But that does not matter. What is important is that your name is boldly written on the insurance certificate. Passport number is not what makes a travel insurance legally binding and I’m sure visa officials know this. Plus there are online databases to check the validity of travel insurance through the policy number which they can use to verify too. 2. I usually buy I online directly. Even though I believe Axa is a useless insurance company because of my experience with them and their claims process. I bought this last one because it was a weekend that I applied for my Schengen visa and had no time to wait because the next available date was the Monday for appointment. |

You must arrive at France that is the country that issued you the visa. Then you are free to visit any other Schengen country you wish to either by Air,train or bus all within the period of the visa issued to you. you must also exit from France. 1. is it a must that one must enter the schengen area tru the country 1 applied to? ( note i didnt say i wud be going to other schengen countries in my application , but plans hv changed and am considering touching 2 or 3 other countries} 2. i was given a single entry 30 days visa- france (2wks max stay), does this single entry apply to other schengen countries i may choose to enter -- if i decide to explore other countries during my trip. 3. does this 2wks maximum stay also apply to other schengen countries i may choose to visit?[/quote] |

onile1975:Yes I bought Axa worldwide travel insurance from their Nigerian subsidiary. Just google travel insurance Axa Nigeria. You can do it yourself easily. Just fill the forms and make payment. You will get the certificate immediately . |

cantiride2:From my friend who goes there every year, you don’t need the go to the country you applied to first or exit through there. The place you applied to must be the longest stay you have, that is all. |

Hi, 1. is it a must that one must enter the schengen area tru the country 1 applied to? ( note i didnt say i wud be going to other schengen countries in my application , but plans hv changed and am considering touching 2 or 3 other countries} If this is your first Schengen visa, I highly recommend you enter through the country that issued your visa and use that as the starting point for your other activities. It is okay to visit other countries even if you did not say so when applying. You can also choose to fly home from a different country. 2. i was given a single entry 30 days visa- france (2wks max stay), does this single entry apply to other schengen countries i may choose to enter -- if i decide to explore other countries during my trip. Your single entry means you can enter the Schengen area once and tour as many countries as you like within your approved maximum stay. Meaning, you can use your single entry to visit as many countries in the Schengen area as you can as long as you don't leave the Schengen area eg France, Netherlands, Belgium etc. Once you leave the Schengen area, you cannot return again on that same visa. 3. does this 2wks maximum stay also apply to other schengen countries i may choose to visit? 2 weeks in total across all Schengen countries. Not 2 weeks per country. All the best with your trip. whiteMandingo: |

Hi please, I do have some questions regarding bank statements. My appointment is August 26th. I plan on submitting my salary account with about 2.6M in it. Then for my savings account I use piggyvest, in it I do have 2.5M which is a Total of 5.1M. I plan on transferring from my piggyvest to my salary account, is that okay ? Or should I just submit the piggyvest account statement aswell leaving the money in it than transferring to avoid any suspicion etc... Kindly suggest what to do ? |
