When he was single, who took his plate to the kitchen? That should be the same person that takes his plate to the kitchen even in marriage, unless his wife decided in marriage to elevate him to god status. And this elevation to god status for men is typical among the religious/traditionally brainwashed women. undecided

It depends on when the food was served. If the wife serves him, she should be the one or the kids to take the plates to the kitchen. If he eats in her absence, well he or the kids should take the plates to the kitchen.

My son takes his father's plates to the kitchen if I'm not readily available. Sometimes he does it himself.

There is no blueprint for stuff like this. Do whatever works for you.

After watching Peter Obi's home routine, I decided to take my 'plates' to the kitchen by myself, my domestic staff and my wife gave me a funny look that speaks louder than words.

I have done it up to 3 times this year. It feels off. Especially with multiple domestic staff on payroll.

I feel that it is a choice, I personally prefer a stoic and minimalist lifestyle, but I cant impose my philosophies on others, hence the need to adopt a bespoke character to modulate the resonance lifestyle of the home front.

Some women PREFER to treat their husbands as gods and for the husband to behave as god. Husbands don't necessarily like that. You want to be the ordinary human you are. Too much responsibility to be another person's god!

Excuse you? 😏😏

No human can force another human being in a literal relationship to do what he/she has not in fact purposed to do. A husband who pretends to be a god over his woman in marriage does so because it is what appeals to him too. Stop with the useless blame shifting, abeg! undecided

Not at all. Some women are so hypergamous that only marriage to a demigod can satisfy them. And since there are not too many demigods around, they try to turn their poor husband into one!

Hypergamy has nothing to do with the deification of men in marriage by the traditional/religious-minded folks out there. 🥱🥱🥱

2. Nonsense! 🙄🙄🙄

First Time your comments is partially reasonable.
When he was single he clears his own plate, cook his own food.
It's not brainwash or stupidity for her to clear the plate, it's willingness and submission. it doesn't matter who clears the table, washes the dishes, or cook.

Lord, the ridiculous questions asked about marriages ehn, this question shouldn't be asked in the first place cos a man doesn't become handicap because a woman is in the house, basic human etiquette is to be observed by both genders.

Did he eat the food that came from the kitchen?
Did he eat from the plate?

So he finished eating and he is to big to carry is plate to kitchen undecided

Its normal to have young ones or wife assist out of respect in taking the plates but it is not a right that it must be done

I don't see it as a big deal.

Even though we have domestic staffs, I don't even like them doing such for me, I do it myself unless I finished eating and on call and didn't know when someone took the plates away. The only thing I don't like is cooking cry

If you have lived abroad, you will never see it as a big deal anyway.

It's only traditional Nigerian families of the oldies like in my father's era that it's a big deal but in today's world, I don't think it's a big deal for the man to take his plate to the kitchen after eating. It doesn't matter your financial status.

Haven't we all seen the Wicked man that calls himself Nyesome Wike cooking, serving visitors and washing the plates in his home, even though it might be for the gram but most modern married men now do it willingly.

Mr Peter Obi have once talked about this. He even cooks and serve himself and also wash the dishes, and it's because he spent some years abroad and he is also a very humble man like mwah cheesy shocked

I do pack my wife's play even though she strongly object to. I do this while stepping off

Women take care of children, cook, Wash and do all almost all house chores. So packing plate or nothing shouldn't be a topic.

It's not a big deal for the husband to help his wife by taking the plates to the kitchen after eating, we're in a modern world of which we can assist our wives, I myself sometimes takes the plates to the kitchen after eating and that's mostly when my wife is having some rest after she had served my meals, and I'll still come back and appreciate her for cooking my meals for me.
