I am the type that buys whatever I come across deemed good for the family, especially while on road trip.

I noticed each time I tell my wife the actual price of the items I bought, she always complain I was cheated by the seller.

These are items you hardly can get within the city center.

The issue now is that, I'm now scared of telling her the true worth of the items I recently got while returning from South South. It was a road trip so I bought plenty cheap food stuff.

Madam say I no Sabi price. I just tire.
These are stuff I considered very very cheap.

Who the experience the same thing abeg ?
That's woman for you ,don't mind her. Whenever you see what you like buy and don't tell her the price, give the usual amount you used to give her,
She will stop nagging .

Most women do this a lot. And when you tell them to buy it themselves, they'll end up inflating the price so they can collect more money from you and pocket the change.

Whenever she asks you such question next time, ask her if she wants to refund you back the money, if she doesn't, there's no need telling her.

I've never come across a woman who returned change back to her husband after shopping
For whereeeee? Instead you go transfer more when she returned with the she used her card to complete transactions. 🤣🤣😂😂

Oga she needs you to give her the cash to purchase them herself
Must I tell you everything? Abi you want to learn when she angrily tells you to start cooking them yourself just as you purchase them yourself?

I think I like this.

She has a small business doing.

Her job was quite demanding so we agreed she left it when children started coming. So she runs her business now
you are very funny sir, women are like Police no matter how much they pay they will still ask for more

Don't mind her. She did not know that I have been studying women's ways and pattern for years. And this is the antic they pull whenever they have been caught.

what do you like about this?

Don't you give her a specific amount of money for the family's up keep monthly?

Don't you show her love by giving her money specially for herself once in a while?

There is nothing wrong for a man to see something and buy it for his family's use at home. Oga your wife cannot buy everything.

Let me tell you, sometimes I wake up in the morning step out briefly without telling anybody where I'm going. And my wife will be surprised and happy to see me with stuff for the family.

If you like stop, it's your business,
Let your wife buy everything. Then when you are on a road trip don't buy anything because your wife felt you were cheated in the past.

Most women say that. They have this innate (not always true and mostly unfounded) belief that they can bargain better than men/husbands at all times and in all things.
So long as the 'extra' buying does not affect the usual housekeep money, she will get around to love you more for it in due course.
When my wife ask me how much, I usually counter with, 'you go pay'? grin
But now, anytime I return home from a trip without, na she dey halla if I no see bush meat for road grin grin grin

I got tired of hearing "you've been cheated again, you don't know how to price" till date I've stopped buying things when coming home.

I came back from Abuja some weeks ago... I bought nothing

Next time don't buy anything if she ask you why you didn't buy anything tell her you fear to be cheated as she normally claimed.

She has been teasing softly "people will travel long distance and not buy anything home, some people will be coming back and forget they have a family waiting for them"... It's a way of saying ignore the words I say and start buying things when coming...

Now that she has learnt, I'll definitely go back to buying things when coming... Overall we all a peaceful home
