A so called former empire. He shud take a look at fellow historical empire city states like Rome and London and see how highly developed they're. Where did this Ooni get his idea and precedence from? Someone should tell Ooni in case he doesn't know that the contraption called Yoruba land aka Oyo empire was a creation of The Alaafin who annexed the whole land, gave it a universal language, Army, Legislature & traditional council.

Alaafin, Soun and Olubadan are both co-chairmen of Oyo trad council while Ooni is the Permanent Chair of Osun state, Co-chair of NIgerian Council of Trad with Sultant of Sokoto and also the Permanent chair of Southern Nigeria Council of Trad Affiars, Alaafin no hold ground abeg. make e rest. UI na federal govt of Nigeria University. But OAU Ife is the pan Yoruba university, built by Obafemi Awolowo with Cocoa money. So the reason why the university wasn't located in Oyo being former empire city, should tell u a lot
