@Hannania
Good morning,

I have two contacts in Germany, one is my reference. He is my very good friend, and he lives in Berlin and the other is my sponsor, he
and lives in Nürnberg.
Whose address is better to use for my "Intended place of stay in the Federal Republic of Germany"?

My second question is this:
when uploading my university degree, should I put the transcript first before the Bsc. Certificate in the combined document?

I have 1-2 weeks to for the portal to be opened to submit. I just want to know beforehand so there are no delays at the time of submission.

Thank you

Does this mean they will never accept certificate of graduation alone, except you upload transcript?
Any suggestion here please? My school wants to send the transcript to only the requesting organization's email address instead of given out a copy i can upload myself.

HND automatically requires you to do ZAB, ZAB is €150 for HND. On the web site HND is processed under the vocational training section.
Remain BLESSED

School H- . Work related is Non regulated.. program B.tech .. HND.
Do I still need to do ZAB .DAB . Please I need the link
First of all, HND is not a degree, and you recognise it as vocational education.

Secondly, your questions are not clearr. B.Tech or HND?

Always use your sponsor as your reference.

The order does not matter. Just make sure it's one PDF file

Good day everyone.

Quick one please.

My University is recognised on Anabin. Now my course is Political science which is also recognised. But what is written on my degree certificate is Government and Public administration which is not recognised on Anabin. Should I go ahead and to ZAB?

Also what should I input as my intended length of stay in Germany?

I'd really appreciate a response on these issues. Thanks everyone.

@hannania
This is for you ans everyone else that will ask. If what's on your degree certificate is not exactly what's on Anabin, you'll just waste your time on the waiting list.

Your intended length of stay is 12 months

Yes, you don't. I didn't submit neither of language test, CV, or motivational letter. Just the comporsory school certificates, birth certificate, indigene letter, Anabin screenshots then my BA and health insurance. My visa was issued in less than 2 weeks. That's the advantage of skilled worker option.
Health insurance? Is health insurance needed before applying for visa? I thought that's supposed to come up after visa approval?

on your second question as highlighted by hannania, merge the two documents as one pdf and submit. I did mine that way and it worked. All the best.

This is not student visa. You either upload during preliminary review, or you take it with you on the interview date.

Hello house , quick questions:

1. Can I start my application before getting the money for the blocked account and heath insurance ( that’s being in the pool)?

2. My most recent degree is my MBa. Can I use that or do i need to verify both degrees?

I noticed Proof of health Insurance is on section of optional documents that's why I ignored it. Do I still need proof of Health Insurance?

I do not have a primary school cert (didn't do 6yrs), just a letter issued by my primary school. That is what I uploaded and I was not asked for anything else with regards to primary school.
Hello Sid57,

I also do not have my primary school cert and didn't do 6yrs.
Since your application was successful, please can you paste the content of the letter and blur your personal info, so when I go to request mine, I will ensure the required details are included in the letter I receive from my primary school.
Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Tifay:
Hannania:
Draft a very formal letter indicating these:

1. You thought B.Tech will pass the recognition, because it's 5 years in Nigeria and B.Sc is 4 years.

2. You've initiated ZAB certification, but this takes 3 months

3. Considering the fact the waiting time is 6 months and you'll have to start again, you're requesting for a consideration of passage, or withholding of the application for 8 weeks while your ZAB arrives so you don't start all over again. This is because your have every other document(make sure your have SL or BA).

4. Attach the degree, SL/BA, ZAB proof of registration and payment, Anabin screenshots and the letter all as one document merged. Upload it under degree recognition and wait for their response. A miracle can happen. They love details

Finally Geothe institute is the best. Learning German in Germany cost 1000% more

Let me know how this goes
Hi Hannania, Just saw the bolded and it helped clarify.

Anyway, we want to give what you're saying a shot seeing as waiting to respond till we get the ZAB thing might be fruitless.

But there's a problem, he's not getting the OTP code in his email that enables him to login. Do you think they've already deleted his profile. This is just less than a week ( He got the notification Aug 14th). Or is it just a technical glitch?

Would he be notified before the profile is deleted?

If the time frame they gave have passed , then they've probably deleted it. Either way, keep trying

What does this mean?. They didnt give any time frame na. Just that message that came in on the 14th. They should have at least notified him before doing anything right?

I would advise anyone coming on opportunity card to get a job or get as many interview calls as possible before coming on an opportunity card. It's no joke! Dudes here can't even do menial jobs to survive because they said they don't understand the clause on their visa.. Except say you get other plans..

The whole point of the visa is to search for a job in germany and the german government really doesnt care if you get a job or not as long as youre giving the country your money its a win for them.

Its then up to you the person whos applying to do all the research before you go there.
1. Is the job market for my profession good? Eg is it in ( Tech, medicine) which are good or is it in ( law, business, psychology etc) which are generally bad

2. How big of a deal is knowing german in my profession? Is there alot of international companies that dont prioritize german? For example medicine, nursing, etc require high german knowledge.

3. What city is the best for me? Based on my budget and job market there? What city makes the perfect correlation for that? I see most people picking berlin, which in reality theres too much competition there.

4. How long can i survive in the country with my own money without completely draining my bank account? So ideally you would want to stay minimum 6months to have a chance of getting a job. Can you do that? Would it be better to stay in nigeria for awhile while searching for a job then go to germany if i am getting interviews? Maybe?

5. For the part time 20hrs per week that youre eligible for with the opportunity card. What type of job are you willing to do? This is where i know nigerians have big ego even though theyre struggling lol, are you willing to wash plates? Work in a farm? Clean houses? Etc

These are just some examples i am giving you guys, theres much more that i cant list all of them, i have been to germany for internship and i have been in europe for 6 years, its not easy you have to work hard and plan ahead, germany is also known to be hard to find housing there unless youre willing to pay alot. Anyways guys goodluck, try to think and plan ahead very well because how well you plan on this could be the decider if its a trap or not.

You gave a perfect analysis to this. I love the fact that you stated it exactly how it is so people would be guided and know what to expect as opposed to those that sell dreams that don't exist because they either wants traffic on their pages or do business.

I'm also in Germany and see a lot of people stranded on an opportunity card because they can't get a job and most companies like Amazon, Tesla and co, won't allow them take up menial jobs because they feel the visa is not meant for that purpose (Even if it was stated clearly that people on opportunity card can do Menial part-time jobs)

Worse part it's just one year but I heard renewable with another block account. *DISCLAIMER* Please this is not to discourage anyone from coming but just make you guys know what to expect when you enter Germany.
Goodluck to everyone!!
