Mr. Bosun Tijani is not the founder of NIMC neither did he build the IT infrastructure the commission uses to collect and maintain the data of Nigeria. He met the commission. Since they have noticed this loophole, I believe they will fix it.

BTW, Bosun is doing a great job. You don't know what he's doing because you chose to be blind to it or you are not in the industry. Mr. Bosun is a thorough breed from the private sector who constantly criticised the government for perceived failure, not necessarily in the opposition.

The biggest challenge in the ICT industry is poor government funding. Bosun no go use him blokkos build Nigeria's IT infrastructure. Go and check how much serious countries are investing in IT (and AI) research/development and compare that with Nigeria's.

Despite that, he's doing a great job in talent development for massive job creation and bridging skills shortage. If you compare the quality of courses offered by 3MTT with that by the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology (in collaboration with the Commonwealth), you will realise the impact Mr. Bosun is making. He understands what the industry needs and he's equipping young Nigerians to compete around the world.

Why are you people so devoid of critical thinking abilities? I didn’t bother reading the rest of your post because your opening sentence clearly set the tone of passing the buck and excuses. He is the minister for ICT. IT and Data protection policy is under his domain. Many years ago, I physically went to pay some money into someone’s account. On getting there my phone died. I was in shock that the bank teller not only retrieved the account number for me but actually turned the screen towards me to verify it was the right person, with all the persons personal details staring at me. Anyone who has lived abroad or claims to be an IT professional knows this is a no-no! Yet it is ubiquitous in Nigeria. It’s the first thing I would have addresses as a minister because it is a low hanging fruit with little expenditure.

Anyone who is a professional IT practitioner knows that is one of the most bastardized aspects of IT in Nigeria and should have been addressed as a matter of priority . It didn’t take Tunji Ojo 6 months to solve passports issues. All that is required is a policy document for God’s sake! He doesn’t need 2 years to develop a data protection policy for the country. He doesn’t need to write one from scratch. All he has to do is use the many templates already in existence and modify for local environment. It won’t even cost his ministry any money all he has to do is produce a policy document saying this is the country’s policy document on handling and protecting user data for any organization that collects citizen’s data!

As someone familiar with the terrain, even before this story came out, I have always felt He is an unmitigated disappointment if not a disaster as a minister. Forget about whether he is opposition or not. As a tech savvy youth, as a supposed IT professional his performance is disgraceful!

Your statement inadvertently reinforces the Igbo mindset. The Igbo people neither believe in sycophancy nor do they live as parasites. Unfortunately, these traits have become the guiding philosophy of some other ethnic groups in Nigeria today.

The Igbo are a confident people who believe strongly in their ability to fend for themselves. They are not looking to grab what is not rightfully their or to steal out collective commonwealth as another has done and the current leadership is doing.

But, let's be clear, they are also prepared to leave Nigeria the moment it no longer serves the interests of all its citizens.

The Igbo do not want the end of Nigeria. They were central to the struggle that gave birth to this country which has now become a contraption. What the Igbo are asking for is a Nigeria that works for all her people equally.

They are not asking for handouts or to be spoon-fed anything. What they seek is equity, a fair system that serves its purpose for everyone.

Equity is just, must be just, and must serve the purpose for which it exists. Do you understand this part?. Perhaps not.

What FIJ do not understand is: the service providers can sub-let there license and services to a 3rd party partners/agent.
And this can be done via API.
Provided that all partners have done their KYC and NIN verified.
Which make such partners traceable in case of any eventuality.

NIMCs is also aware of that.

The major issue here is how did FIJ get hold of the ministers NIN and Orji Kalu NiN. That’s the main crime.
And not the legitimate services that was provided through a licensed agent.
