That is not the precedent. The Nigeria case was because it was the very last game, In fact, the Nigeria case wasn't the first time in a CAF WCQ. Wasn't even the second nor third.

Multiple CAF teams have made these mistakes in the past. During the 2014 qualifers tournament. I think about four different teams had their points removed because of yellow card mistakes. It usually takes FIFA less than a month to remove the points. I remember Supersport talking about how the tables were changing because of FIFA sanctions. Those issues messed with the 2014 qualifiers. I think it was after that, that FIFA started the notification thing.

The fact that FIFA has not said anything about the SA case till now should tell you that something is off. It doesn't take this long at all. In 15 days time, the next round of qualifiers will commence. If FIFA says nothing before that, then I can bet you that nothing is going to happen after that.

FTR, I am not supporting SA (Although I'm not really sure the points thing would favor us anyway), I just don't see anything happening.
