You should know that Lineker was only pushing agenda
They were embarrassed and jealous that Osimhen got such a hero's reception at Gala..

That's different from club admins that make transfer decisions

Okay
A player of Lookman's calibre and pedigree should be in clubs like Arsenal..
It's unfortunate Atalanta scuppered the deal with Inter

Perception too fuels transfer decisions.

Yes, club admins consider your talent first but will also look at if your character won't cause disharmony to the team.

Liverpool really want this Isak oh!
See massive bid!!

Truthfully these EPL clubs never really wanted Osimhen
Looking at what Liverpool are willing to pay for Isak, and what Man U paid for Sesko that's mostly unproven, that's the only conclusion I can come to..

True .
But Osimhen is mostly known as a team player who puts the needs of the team above his own..
This is a player who has given away penalties to team members when he should have increased his tally..
When Icardi was out injured, Osimhen did a very touching tribute to him..

The narrative that Osimhen is a divisive player is false and was targeted at tarnishing his image especially because he refused to reduce his wages

But sincerely I don’t get dis foreign clubs of wanting to keep unhappy players .what exactly is ur gain ? Someone publicly saying he’s not interested in playing for u yet u still want to keep him …as in,Una no even fear say d guy fit just Dey play rubbish or turn to goal post and score own goal 😀😀…make him go na and terminate his contract;simple
Simply put, it's bad for football business. If players are allowed to dictate when they want to leave and force transfers on their preferred terms, contracts will become meaningless, big teams will become too powerful and small teams will struggle financially. Clubs don't like it when players submit transfer requests because it disrupts their plans.

Even though we support these guys, the truth is that they signed contracts agreeing to remain at the club, with a certain salary for a certain period of time. So legally they're on the wrong side. The way Isak went about his own is even annoying tbh.

I agree
And everything happened so suddenly
Like he just woke up one morning and submitted a transfer request
Like how?
No single respect for Newcastle that gave him a platform to shine last season..

Maybe a law shld be introduced den to protect both the player and club interest …maybe d player pays d club some amount of money b4 he/she can terminate d contract…just make a law to make everyone happy

When a player has given so much value to a club and he feels he wants more what’s the sin in that? Just like the club it’s also legal for the player to move on. I don’t see how they are on the wrong side legally especially when there are offers on the table, is that not business too? A player is already worth more than what you’re offering currently and if you insist on keeping the player and he starts depreciating in value with you then what has the club gain?
