The Oyo State Governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday 20th of August, visited the former governor of the state and Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja.

During his visit, the governor applauded the unique succession system of Ibadanland and also discussed about the upcoming coronation ceremony.


PUNCH Online reports that Oba Ladoja will be crowed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan on September 26, following the approval of his nomination by the State Governor.


According to the Governor on his official X page, “We visited my father, His Royal Majesty Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan designate to pay homage earlier today. The visit gave us an opportunity to discuss preparations for the coronation ceremony which will be held soon. We are so proud of our traditional institution in Ibadanland and its unique succession system.”

What else can a man wish for? God has prepared a several golden tables before him in the presence of his enemies lead by Olusegun Obasanjo. Ladoja will never forget Tinubu for hiding him when Olusegun Obasanjo wanted to arrest him following his illegal impeachment by the Lamido Adedibu camp

He is well brought up! His pedigree is very impressive and he is the embodiment of sound Yoruba cultural values unlike Rauf Aregbesola who constantly mouth the concept of Omoluabi but are everything else that is not Omoluabi- rude, garrulous, agents of disunity and generally dishonest and disorderly!

I hope you all saw how Makinde greeted Ladoja, not those of you who stand on your parents’ heads. Check how Tinubu also greeted the late Awujale despite being the President
