I am compel to write this post because of some certain post i saw last week "things you regret not doing in early in life" "things ur 30 year old self will tell ur 20 year old self" in my opinion they are all bulsh** cos we are meant to make mistake abi Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.
My only pain which i cant call my regret... is my parent not having the fore sight to groom or build me for what i am to face, example my mother enrolled me in a computer school in my early 20s after my dad demise, which wasn't bad (respect to her fore sight) learnt a skill in my late 20s. but this post isn't about me, it about my son.
I intend to prepare him for what lies ahead, there are only 3 things i want him to learn...(i stand to be corrected).

No 1. He must learn a skill, at his early teen age

No 2. He must understand financial literacy....i don"t know how to do this but i believe my igbo brothers can help me with this, if na to do boy boy for 3yrs i dont mind, (mind you i be yoruba i no send tribal bigot)

No 3. he must know how to cook cos i no carry last for that one

he is only 4 let him enjoy his childhood
feel free to correct me

Also teach him what NOT to do - like mostly keep him away from Social Media

Meanwhile this your statement below doesn't make any sense. Can you please explain how exactly your parents did wrong so others can learn:

i mean i should have been made to explore many areas in my teen especially skill and knowledge i acquired in my late 20, but my papa concern is we his children not going outside cos of the bad influence in mushin

#5. Teach your son to do chores the same as your daughters—no human is above doing household chores — and to expect to do them even after he eventually gets married
#6. Teach your son to respect all humans—women, and children included —the same way he would like to be respected by them.

You, as their father, can start by teaching them through your example right there in the home, to make it easier for them to continue on when they leave home.

The world as we live in is fast-moving away from the old entitlement mentality of our grandparents and fathers. The world is becoming more human rights-driven— those with higher social and emotional intelligence will decide and rule over the others. Your children need to be ready to fit in well with the world outside of your home.

Quite good. But what exactly do you mean by "emotional intelligence"? Do you mean spirituality or religion?

Tradition/Religion is typically not associated with high emotional intelligence. Most of those who subscribe to these schools either believe in denying their emotions or suppressing them, leading to low emotional intelligence overall. So, when talking of emotional intelligence, it is quite removed from religious gobbledegook.

1. The second verse makes reference to the first verse. And the first of the verses you referenced is as so.

5 “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

7 But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.” - Psalm 82 vs 5 - 7

Am I to conclude from this that you are just like the false gods described by YHWH then meaning they are also gods only they are considerred false by YHWH since they too are described as knowing nothing and walking in darkness by Him?

According to His messenger, He alloted Himself Jacob as His inheritance; Edom/Esau is not His inheritance, nor are all others. His inheritance is what the above statement implies.
