Controversial Nigerian singer Terry G (real name Gabriel Oche Amanyi) has expressed his displeasure after being excluded from Billboard’s recently released Afrobeats Top 50 list. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Known for his hit tracks such as Akpako Master, Free Madness, and Run Mad, the singer lamented the omission of his songs, which once dominated the Nigerian music scene.

Taking to social media to voice his frustration, Terry G responded to a post by Chart Data with a brief but loaded statement:

“TERRY G robbed.”

The post sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans supported his claim, stating that his songs were groundbreaking street anthems that shaped an era of Nigerian music, others argued that Billboard’s selected tracks, including timeless classics like African Queen, deserved their spots.

The debate continues as fans question the criteria behind the list and whether it truly represents the evolution of Afrobeats over the years.

The list curated by Billboard Staff ranked 2Face’s controversial hit ‘African Queen’ as the number 1 Best Afrobeats song of All-Time.

However, Wizkid is the only artist with double entries in the top 10 with ‘Ojuelegba’ at number 2 and ‘Essence’ (feat. Tems) at number 5.

Favour’s ‘Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix) is number 3 on the list while Rema’s global hit ‘Calm Down’ took the 4th spot.

CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’, D’banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’, Davido’s ‘Fall’, Burna Boy’s ‘Ye’ and P-Square’s ‘Chop My Money Remix’ (feat. Akon) complete the top 10.
Despite Nigerian artists dominating the top 20, Ghanaian stars Fuse ODG and Sarkodie made appearances with ‘Azonto’ (feat. Itz Tiffany) and ‘Adonai’ (feat. Castro) at numbers 18 and 19, respectively.

Styl-Plus’ evergreen song ‘Olufunmi’ is ranked at number 11 while 9ice’s ‘Gongo Aso’ holds the number 12th position. ‘Do Me’ by P-Square and ‘Dami Duro’ by Davido occupied numbers 13 and 14, respectively.

Yemi Alade is the highest ranked female lead artist on the list with ‘Johnny’ at number 15.

Wande Coal’s ‘Bumper to Bumper’ (17) and Phyno’s ‘Fada Fada’ featuring Olamide (20) wrapped up the top 20.

Terry G's "Love You Sexy" one of the music that changed the afrobeat world. The musical video also one of the musical video that changed our video standard. Terry G should be on the top 50. In fact he should be in our top 20.

Biggie smalls and 2 pac are still being honoured till this day.

Once you stop releasing songs
They say you have washed out

They only care for the moment
Once you no longer hot
They disregard you despite the many hits you made.

Africans have very sick mentality

You uphold old foreign stars like Biggie 2 pac and co
But disregard and insult your own legends..

I'm sure the compiler of this list is high and just term every music from Africa and esp Nigeria Afro beat.
