This was revealed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @lekan_abiodun, who claimed to be a friend of the woman involved.

According to him, the man allegedly hit his wife, prompting her to report the matter to the authorities.

Following the report, the husband was arrested and subsequently deported.

The post further noted that the woman divorced him and has since remarried.

Possible she didn't want him around. She brought him in, constantly provoked him till the point of him going physical, then called cops on him to make it look like he was in the wrong.
If this is not the case, then he would have been abusive even from home and wouldn't allow to be a dependent but primary traveller OR she wouldn't have even allowed him as a dependent.

But did they say how she first came to the UK? The guy may have sold property to send her to UK.

The word "dependent" suggests more like the recent Master's student parole sponsorship, though it can be other spousal stuff.

Problem is, the guy might even have beaten her. Just make a claim and authorities eager to reduce immigration will believe it. As a man, no chance. a woman can claim "self-defence" and weaker sex things. Nor be UK again? We don see all sorts before.

If the guy was really foolish enough to really beat her, he deserved his deportation.
