I know more about music than you do. People like Terry, G, Psquare, 9ICE, Dagrin, Nigga Raw, Wande Coal did more for afrobeat than the likes of davido, Yemi aládé, flavor and what have you on the list. In fact i will rate Azadus ahead some people on that list. Many people on that list enjoyed raved made by others. Like whats afrobeat production without Terry G and K-Solo?

Many of you started listening to music after 2010.

There was a time when Terry G was the most sought after artiste and producer in Nigeria. All DJ compilations must have a Terry G song or it will be discarded. Every made and upcoming wanted to feature Terry G. But life changes, Davido dem should enjoy theirs while it lasts.

Spot on !!!! am pretty sure that one of the criteria (if not the main criteria) for this list was international audience / acceptability. No doubt some of his songs were bangers, but only within the boundaries of Nigeria ( if not only lagos sef ). If the list was centered on only within the boundaries of Nigeria, then I would agree that at least one of this songs should be in the top 50 songs ( not top 30 sha , cos his songs were mostly noise making and gibberish)

The most popular Nigeria song in Kenya like 7 years ago was Paul Play Dairo. Almost all their radio stations play his song.

Popular Carlson Tucker, his favourite musician is Sunny Ade..

Places I have been outside Nigeria, I hardly hear Terry G's song even though I used to know the lyrics of his songs back then.

Guy, calm down. Read and understand before rushing to comment. I never mentioned Fela. I said Femi Kuti has only one song I can feel the vibe and it is " Sorry for Nigeria". Fela's name is already etched in the history of African and Nigerian music greats, so don't bring Fela into this.

7 years ago? Moshorire was trending in early 2000s, if a song that trended here in Nigeria in the early 2000s was trending in Kenya 7 years ago and then they must behind in musical appreciation. My thoughts, though.

Daddy Showkey didn't sing afrobeat it was galala ontop reggae. In those days there wasn't this afrobeat genre, this genre started with people like 2 face, Olu Maintain, D' Banj. In fact 2face was supposed to be singing afro RnB. The biggest prop for me will go to Wande Coal because he started this new style that Wizkid and Davido capitalised on. Na the generation wey phase out Nigerian Hip-Hop be that. Paving way for afrobeat. But Terry G was part of that movement both in singing and music production. Wetin person no know, pass am. ID. Cabasa, Don Jazzy, K-Solo, Terry G, MasterKraft and so on are the reason you have this afrobeat the way it is. No be one day afrobeat start.
