She is an ex for a reason and whatever made her ex was not by chance. I don't go back to vomit and that's me. Besides my ex was a Delilah who wrecked me so only a sampson can go back to such a woman. If that's being childish, then I'm 15yrs old with my full chest.

I don’t see them as my enemies or anything of sort, as a matter of fact I wish them well but it’s from a distance, I can’t imagine being just friends with someone I once loved unless the feelings wasn’t genuine.
Most people I shared this view with says I’m childish and there’s nothing wrong with being friends with an ex but for me I think cutting you off is the surest way for me to move on.

It depends on how the relationship ends.

I still talk with some occasionally, at least when there is urgent need for it. I wouldn't mind keeping it n touch when the relationship ends on mutual respect.

I cut ties only when the said person consciously created a wound inside me on her way out. In that case, even if the person tries reaching out to me under whatever guise, I made myself unavailable.

By ex, I presume the OP is talking about someone he had sexual relationship with in the past. You mentioned self-control and I agree with you to an extent. But if you had self control you probably wouldn't have been in a sexual relationship outside marriage in the first place. We have been advised to run away from all appearance of evil. Some do but it is not recommended. Keeping exes as friends only stunts a man’s relationship sojourn. Some eventually learn to toss them aside. Many don’t.

Yes the relationship with the Exs ended up but that doesn't mean there wasn't good times there..it's those good times I remember and that's what makes me still keep in contact with them.

The Last time I saw my Ex wife was On June 2018. Since then, I haven't spoken with her, nor even called. Na so me sef be o. Once I cut off from u, I cut off finally. Na my Lawyer even represent me for my divorce proceedings sef. I no show at all. As I don remarry now, na so I dey enjoy my life with my beautiful wifey. I love u So much Babe!
