And die of hunger? Or depend on you? It's better to keep quiet most times, you ain't making sense.
Yes, you can refuse to be a slave by learning other skills that give you better earning power. I know you were raised to be loud and throw unnecessary insults instead of asking relevant questions.

Minimum wage here is $15 per hour and still that egg is not as fresh as what is consumed in Nigeria. I have a huge distrust for eggs that need to be refrigerated. I get from the general store, a crate of free run eggs here is around $8.50. Its the organic that is expensive.

That plantain is good, here it is around $1.20 per lb for a plantain and still not sweet like Nigerian plantain.
Overwhelming majority of eggs sold in Nigeria are not organic, it seems you have no idea of the feed formulations, the antibiotics etc.

People should refuse to eork for 70k.
They can't and if they have to, the private businesses will have to increase the costs of their services

I'm really sorry if what I said came off as insulting ,that honestly wasn't my intention at all, I think the topic just felt a bit off.

Not a problem bro. I am in the process of experimenting with lots of things and based on my present expenses, I believe Nigeria will be way cheaper for me.

Ok, today I was out to do an oil change and decided to branch by my favorite Afghani store where I usually buy provisions when in the vicinity. Now, I came across an organic crate of egg for $16.99, 30 medium sized eggs in a crate.
Now, I remembered I spoke with a friend in Lagos last week who priced a similar crate of egg at 6000Naira, Yes ! you heard me right! 6000Naira! Folks in Nigeria do not know how good they have it Living in Nigeria so next time you complain about Nigeria, remember a fresh organic crate of egg goes for N6000 and things are way cheaper in Nigeria compared to the western countries.

So, there is something that should make one happy living in Nigeria
I am waiting on pins and needles for the minimum wage crew.
I'm more interested in thus "oil change" you talked about. Did you mean it literally or figuratively??

These you peoples annoying comparisons is getting stale day by day. Very annoying.

It is just like you people want to be mocking people.

I believe you are the USA. Many of us live outside too.

A mechanic making 25 dollar per hour in the USA can afford 2 crates comfortably. Just with 1 hour salary.

A mechanic working in Nigeria even under a notable company cannot even buy half crate with 3 hours salary.

Going by your stale comparison, it requires 12,000 naira to buy just 2 crates. How many mechanics earn 12,000 naira daily not to talk of hourly?

Let us not even talk about civil servants. Many of them earn less than 30k monthly. I mean millions of them.

That means their salaries will finish just buying 5 crates of egg!

What happens to other necessities of life?

Will your one day salary in the USA finish just buying 5 crates of eggs? Let us not talk about 1 month.

Guy please stop. I beg you in the name of God almighty. You are mocking people.

If you have spare cash, support people in Nigeria so that people can eat.

People are mad hungry in that country!

I live extremely far away from that hellfire on earth.

It seems this OP is taking us for a ride.
Why don't you move back to Nigeria permanently. Afterall your monthly rent over there can build you a mansion over here.

Who is this cI0wn?
The average American can earn more than $500 in a month which is 769 thousand naira upwards. How many people in Nigeria even earns up to 200 thousand naira per month?

Please, stop comparing a country with £13/hr minimum wage to £31/month minimum wage.

The day I go get the grace to cut off Nigeria and persistent foolery, I will be so happy.

Even people that have travelled, instead of thinking of how to grow and excel, poverty mentality from Nigeria is still holding strong.

Your mates in that country are eating 35k eggs, eat too if you want. Don't pose for anybody.

With the exchange rate, a pauper in USA will be a baller in Nigeria. But if you truly call yourself a man and believe that Nigerians have it easy, stay in Nigeria for 6 months straight. It will wipe the arrogance out of your soul.

Those going into Nigeria save up for months/years just to stay for about two weeks. There is no way in hell they'll fully experience the hellish aspect of Nigeria.

Please don’t be typing rubbish . The same mechanic who earning $25 pays per hour pays about 30% on the the same $25 on taxes . What does the Nigeria mechanic pay? It’s all take home and don’t forget that it’s an informal sector in Nigeria , which is not regulated

The mistake most people make is comparing the Naira to the Dollar.

If we need to face reality, we must not compare ourselves to anyone.

His explanation is very clear....you can't compare apples with grapes because they have different components. Before you compare cost of things in US to Nigeria, firstly compare the per capital income or even minimum income. If a minimum hourly wage income can buy a grate of eggs in USA, you have to see if same minimum hourly rate in Nigeria can buy a crate of eggs.

Minimum hourly income in naija is 70,000÷22(days)÷(40hr)= NGN79.55. Covert to USD is 5cents grin

May God help Nigeria o. The minimum wage self no go round. Some people earn waaaay lesser.

Nigeria is not hell fire, when you return make sure you return with the abroad minimum income fa.
How did you calculate your daily wage rate ? We have 10 hours of work per day and we have 22 working days. 22*10=220. Divide the 70,000 by 220,;you have 318 naira per hour. Very poor . You will need to work fr 18 hours just to buy a create of eggs

16 dollars is cheap by American standards. It doesn’t make sense to use the Dollar to Naira exchange rate as a means of evaluating and contrasting standards of living between America and Nigeria
