esnbrutality:You guys just open your mouth and spew rubbish confidently, on things you are not knowledgeable of. While agreeing that there are Ijaws in Ondo state, they are not more than 5% of the state's indigenous population, occupying just one LG out of 18 in the state, and this is arguably the smallest LG. |

flexyrule:Oil and gas gives money to government. There are more than sixty million people earning income to feed a total of over 220 million in the country. Oil is less than five percent of the economy and it goes to the government which employs maybe 1.5 million people in total. |

alanto:You really need to learn statistics. Dangote is from Kano and the richest blackman, why is Kano not on the list? Ignos are better because they spread their wealth, rather than the concentrated wealth of Dangote and Alakija having billions while the rest of their people are poor |

Nigeria is a clown zone The owners of the resources are down the table due to nepotism. The region of nepotism and corruption that ought to show that at least what they're holding onto is benefitting their lives and their people, are down down the list. If you're chest beating at least make e show for chest now. IYKYk😂😂😂😂😂 Note: oyo for you if you want to start any funny battle on this. Our reality in this country calls for serious restructuring and not noise and yapping. Someone somewhere from my region go kon dey happy with the 4/10 aspa "we're not like other regions" 🤦🏽♂️😆😆 This is terrible, especially with the borrowing surfing this govt is doing. Trillions upon trillions. Traveling upon traveling. God help us to gbera |

Manfromlasvegas:A lot of the poor from other regions mostly flee to the SW and they are counted as SW. Remove them and you will see as SW poverty will cone as low as 10%. Just think about it... SW has the richest Musicians in Africa. SW has the richest Nollywood practitioners. SW has the richest business people. SW has the richest ICT people. SW has the richest sportspeople. SW has the lawyers, richest doctors etc. Even SW has the richest churches and pastors. And the list goes on even when we add abroad to it. And the funny part is that SW agberos are also the richest...kikikikikikikiki ![]() |

SpecialAdviser:The poor Igbos in Lagos or any other SW states are 1000 square times more than the rich ones. Remove them and see how the poverty stats will improve positively. |

Penguin2:But Number One state in the whole country is not Lagos but Ondo state, a SW state. Na IGBOS full there again? Na IGBOS full Lagos my foot. If Na IGBOS full Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Abuja, SW, NW, NC like you all claimed. Then Igbo is the largest tribe in Nigeria which is closer to lues than truth. No Be Juju Be Dat? |
| Re: Statisense: SW Has Lowest Multi-dimensional Poverty Followed By SE by immaculatesense(m): 11:10am On Aug 22, 2025 |
MrGerald:But the number one state on that list is Ondo state (SW). Were you blind to see it or na hatred. It means the standard of living is better in Ondo state than any other state in your region. Show us smyour stat to prove otherwise. No Be Juju Be Dat? |

How did they arrive at these statistics. All SS states are oil producing states. How can Ekiti and Osun with no resources do better than Oil producing states. The number of Yourbas scattered across the SS states is an indicator that all is not well at home. |

PHIPEX:You are being economical with the truth. Dangote and Rabiu are the main dollar billionaires among the Hausas but Yorubas have more than 4 dollar billionaires and more than 100 naira billionaires that I can post their businesses websites here now.It is even on nairaland here. You will never be able to count 30 Igbo naira billionaires and their business websites. It will even be hard for you to get 20. Yorubas spread their wealth more than the Igbos and this shows in their lives in that you will see them making impact in all sectors of human endeavors. If you don't know what spreading of wealth means,it is teaching your siblings, family members what you know and not just giving them stipends. You might not quickly understand this until you move away from your comfort zone. In petty businesses, even before Igbos came to Lagos,Yorubas especially the Igbominas, have and still give shares of the business and money to the persons who serve them after a certain number of years. I was even surprised when Igbos ascribed that system to themselves just mainly because they can make noise. Almost every year, money is repatriated from abroad and UK always brings in the largest chunk and we know that is the second home of the Yorubas. Most of those monies are for businesses, infrastructures etc. This is a very important part of spreading wealth and nobody does it like the Yorubas. |

stuffs2002:Over 60% of cargoes arriving in Lagos are bound for the SE, and you do know Dangote is not the person shipping them to the SE. Of course the majority of the remaining 40% of those cargoes that are not bound for the SE, are still Igbo owned So Igbos play a pivotal role in the Lagos economy. Someone has already mentioned the dominance of Igbos in a great deal of the major markets of Lagos. When you put all these together, you will notice that a combination of Dangote and BUA will not even reach 5% of what Igbos are doing in Lagos. Let's not even talk of the trans-state transport system with the ATMs, Izundus, GIGMs, Autostars e.t.c that are clearly Igbo-owned. |

gidgiddy:Nigeria was lucky to have a well developed city with amenities befitting a country as her capital in Lagos. As at 1914, many regions were littered with villages. Your entire region didn't have a single tarred road, electricity, pipe-borne/potable water or any meaningful infrastructure. |

obitrac:No, ChatGPT is not always correct; its accuracy is limited because its responses are based on patterns in its training data, which can be outdated or incorrect, and it can "hallucinate" by confidently providing false information. It's crucial to critically evaluate ChatGPT's output and verify any factual claims with credible, independent sources. |
