So, in solving this problem overall, government should tighten regulations. Patent medicine dealership by untrained people should be scrapped while qualified and regulated pharmacists should dispense these medicines under strict prescription by trained prescribers like medical doctors, dentists and other licenced prescribers. Medicines should not be sold just for profits! In stead, rational use of medicines should be prioritised and practiced in the country. By so doing, we can have how medicines are used in checks and prevent not only the problems of public health burdens from adverse effects of medicines but also the economic consequences of subsidising antibiotics and antimalarials most of which are imported from other countries since we don't produce them.
