If There Is Application For Advanced Slave Trade, Will Many Africans Apply? by cutecommend(op): 6:30pm On Aug 22, 2025
If there is an open application portal for advanced slave trade in countries like USA, SPAIN, CANADA, IRELAND, NORWAY, NETHERLAND, SWITZERLAND, SWEDEN e.t.c, will there be crowded applications submitted? If yes, Africa has failed even after the abolishing of slave trade.

Say No to Slave Trade.

What do you call the one we are currently doing where a bank manager in Nigeria will sell his property to raise 60million naira to finance his relocation abroad, only to be washing toilets for those not up to his status on a level playing field?

I actually don't believe those stories. Whatever will make me sell my properties worth 60 million will be either to fund my education or a business.

If you can be intelligent enough to raise 60 million, you won't settle for such jobs

Is this a sad attempt at redefining slavery or what? sad
Slavery is the condition of being owned by another person, forced into labor, and stripped of freedom and choice, often through the use of violence, fraud, or coercion, treating people as property that can be bought and sold. Historically, it was a system of human chattel slavery, such as in the U.S. from 1776 to 1865, but modern slavery includes various forms of exploitation like forced labor, debt bondage, forced marriage, and human trafficking. While officially abolished, modern slavery persists globally for economic gain, involving the exploitation of vulnerable groups for profit.
Key Characteristics
Forced Labor: Individuals are compelled to work against their will for little to no pay.
Ownership: Enslaved people are treated as property, bought, sold, or given away by their owners.
Loss of Freedom: Individuals have no control over their work, movement, or other life choices.
Coercion & Deception: Force, fraud, or coercion are used to maintain control over the enslaved.
Dehumanization: Brutality, abuse, and the denial of rights are used to reduce individuals to objects.

If he has a higher status then why does he go to wash toilets? Why does he not continue to achieve in his country? If he is capable. I have already written somewhere. If all white people moved to an African country and lived alone. That country would very quickly become like Europe. There would be no difference. Likewise. If all of Europe were filled with blacks. That kind of Europe would very quickly become Africa.

Honestly, I find it hard to believe a bank manager would move abroad to wash toilets. Even selling his property to raise the funds is another question to ask, but moving to wash toilets as a bank manager? I find it hard to believe such a person exist.

A lot of West Africans are still willingly subjecting themselves into slavery even today... They're busy risking their lives in the Mediterranean sea just to crossover and be slaves across Europe... They're also trafficking their own women across the world, which can also be classified as modern day slave trade.

And the sad thing about the whole ordeal is that a lot of westerners are busy making a mockery and defaming them on all social media platforms on a daily basis, but they'd still choose ignorance over reality... There are some Instagram accounts which were even created with the sole purpose of ridiculing African migrants living in Europe... I once commented on one of them and I was hurled with racist comments, one lady went to the extent of telling me to come and fetch my fellow monkeys in Europe because they're contaminating Europe with their blackness... I retaliated by telling her to come and fetch her white monkeys here in SA first.

And it baffles me at how many of you West Africans would turn a blind eye to such racist comments made against your people by westerners, but would've immediately assembled in unity to drag the people had it been that they were Africans.

It is not a wise decision to take anything you see online as serious because a lot of people are attention seekers who insult other people just to get a rise out of them.
Even I myself have deliberately insulted other people online just for attention so I don't care about anything anyone says online.
Even this Nigeria-South Africa banter online, I just seen it as a normal thing when it becomes abnormal is when you start bringing hatred online and start displaying it in the real world via racist, tribalistic or xenophobic attack.
Also if you talk about foreigners insulting Africans and other illegal migrants online, what about the millions of foreigners that actually want migrant to come to their countries.
Just like the USA democratic party members and leftist that even created sanctuary cities to prevent illegal immigrants from being deported even against federal law
So some foreigners are racist to Africa n and some foreigners love Africans, it is very biased to pick one side and ignore the other side

For most of us, it's easier to express ourselves through social media than in reality... So if I were you, I'd believe them... On social media, one is free to express him or herself without any fear of repercussions.

You can't risk your life to be their servant and expect them to regard you with high standards.

Lol.
It happens o
I think one even made it to the news one time. I'll try and search for it.
Their excuse is that they believe they'll make the money back within a year, which usually doesn't happen even in ten years

Seriously, I find it hard to believe. A bank manager o. Even a microfinance bank manager is a big boy.

As for the bold, as you said, it's not possible in the near future. The only place where such is remotely possible is the United States.

Slavery is still going on in this present world. Yes you heard me right. Funny thing is that, this modern slavery is not done by the whites again. The modern slavery going on presently is being carried out by black skin to their fellow black skin.

Nigeria is a perfect example, so many slave trades going on in the country but nobody wants to talk because it's either carried out by them or their tribes man, all pin out to poverty and hunger and yet the citizens love it.

Slavery no start for Africa, na practice wey don dey since human beings begin organize themselves into power structures. For olden days, kings, chiefs, or warriors fit use force hold people down as slaves. Infact the word "Slaves" came from the word "Slavs" used on Eastern European that became the word for people in that condition. Just that the Europeans then industrialize the matter, dem commercialize am, package am, carry am build cities. Wetin originally be local power play turn to big business. Na dat leverage..free labor, cheap resources, and organized exploitation, give dem head start for industrial revolution.

But make we reason am well: slavery today wear chain again o, e no disappear, e no lost. E just change cloth. For politics, business, religion, even family hierarchy, we still dey see how power dey press people down. The only difference now be say system dey design itself as if everybody get equal chance, when in truth, the ladder still favor who hold the leverage. Christianity and Buddhism try soften human hearts, but dem still twist am to control masses.

Instead of Africans always dey talk the matter as if na only victim angle we get, we suppose dey discuss leverage too. The same way Europeans take turn ugly system to industrial power, and cities, na so we suppose ask: how we go use our own history, culture, and knowledge turn am into strength? If we no shift the conversation from pity to power, from chain to leverage, we go still dey stuck for the same circle.
