I think it's clear who are the people in this thread who scream, cry and nash their teeth based on pure emotion absent any real logic. In fact, can't even understand the logic behind or the logical consequences of their statements.

That's part of the problem with where we are. These people aren't emotionally intelligent enough to have empathy for people like Abrago. Even just because they may one day be that person. And then they cry when they are. Because especially as minorities we don't get the same privileges or benefit of the doubt.

Democrats are the ones who call for defunding the police. Some want police to be unarmed while others want social workers instead of LEO to approach crime scenes involving psychopaths.
They are afraid that if the DC experiment is wildly successful the rest of the violent cities and states will demand the same level of security provided by national guard and feds. Democrat governor's won't allow the NG to be deployed, but there are Republican governors who can allow their deployment in blue cities within their jurisdictions. There should be work arounds for Trump admin to call up the NG where governors are intransigent.
