~~~Daily Spiritual Digest~~~ ________________________________ [24-08-2025] Focus: The Danger of Unrepentant Living WORD FOR TODAY When sin becomes habitual, destruction becomes inevitable; unless there is repentance. The pathway of a man who refuses repentance and rejects godly instruction is one that spirals downward to destruction! **************************************** Scriptural Reference "If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?” Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the LORD desired to kill them." — 1 Samuel 2:25 (NKJV) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One of the most dangerous paths a person can walk is that of unrepentant sin. When a man repeatedly ignores godly correction and refuses to turn from his evil ways, he begins a downward spiral that leads to total destruction. Sin that is not confronted and repented of does not stay the same! it grows. It moves from bad, to worse, and eventually to the worst; a point where the heart is hardened and divine judgment is inevitable. The sons of Eli were priests, they became so familiar with the things of God that they dishonored Him openly. They started by defiling the altar of sacrifice and ended up defiling women at the entrance of the tabernacle; right at the door of worship. Despite their father's warning, they refused to repent. The Bible says they did not listen “because the LORD desired to kill them.” Their refusal to heed instruction sealed their fate. Samson followed a similar path. He was a man of divine calling and consecration, yet his choices slowly eroded his connection with God. He ate from a dead animal, interacted carelessly with the enemies of God’s people, and eventually found himself lying on Delilah’s lap. There, he revealed the secret of his strength and was stripped of his power, vision, and purpose. His fall didn’t happen overnight; it was the result of repeated disobedience and lack of repentance. When a man stops listening to correction, he starts walking toward destruction. There is only one turning point for the sinner and the backslider: repentance. No matter how far a man has gone, if he turns back to God in humility and confession, mercy is still available. This is what makes the story of Apostle Paul so powerful. Though he persecuted the Church and fought against Christ, the moment he encountered truth and repented, his life was transformed. He became a vessel of honour and a messenger of grace. Do not allow sin to grow roots in your life. If you are struggling with a sinful habit, seek help. Run to God. Repent sincerely. Don’t wait until your heart is hardened and your ears can no longer hear God’s voice. The earlier you repent, the better your chances of restoration and recovery. Questions for Meditation: Am I currently ignoring any area of correction from God? Is there a sinful habit growing stronger in my life due to lack of repentance? What steps must I take today to return fully to the path of righteousness? Father, have mercy on me. I confess that I have ignored Your instructions in areas of my life. I repent of every known and hidden sin. Deliver me from any habit that is growing stronger in my life. Soften my heart to respond to Your voice and correct me before it is too late. Restore me, O Lord, and lead me back to Your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Main Emphasis There is no future in unrepentant sin. The only path to restoration is repentance. May your heart always remain tender before God, and may you never miss the opportunity to turn back before it is too late. Amen.
Sadly many are not teaching repentance anymore but that believing in God is repentance. So what we get are many who claim to believe but don't change or repent from there ways |
This is the gospel truth that has always existed from the beginning of time till the end "Son of man, give your people this message: The good works of righteous people will not save them if they turn to sin, nor will the sins of evil people destroy them if they repent and turn from their sins. When I tell righteous people that they will live, but then they sin, expecting their past righteousness to save them, then none of their good deeds will be remembered. I will destroy them for their sins. And suppose I tell some wicked people that they will surely die, but then they turn from their sins and do what is just and right. For instance, they might give back a borrower's pledge, return what they have stolen, and obey my life-giving laws, no longer doing what is evil. If they do this, then they will surely live and not die. None of their past sins will be brought up again, for they have done what is just and right, and they will surely live. (Ezekiel 33:12-16) |
SeriouslySense:What year? or you are just repeating the words someone else told you just because you were born into a Christian environment? Would you be saying this if you were born in Nepal or Kuwait? |
I am not just repeating, I am having supernatural experiences too. ![]() Or God seems to be telling me its soon. There is one day, when i dreamed of a white smoke coming to my window, and immediately i fell flat on the ground or i immediately prostrated flat, i was excited and scared, i began to pray for forgiveness and that God takes me. My eyes were already closed, and it began to get brighter and brighter, i felt i was in the cloud or in the sky, and i was feeling excited, but also i was sad, because I knew i may not meet Gods expectations, in telling people about Jesus. ![]() But i was expecting to see heaven or God anytime, but i woke up , I wish i dreamed more but maybe its not for me to see, and i am happy for that.I am not special, I was just looking for God. This month i have like two experiences that tells me its soon. AllBlack: |
SeriouslySense:to be fair your dream doesn't mean "it is soon" I mean apostle John saw more than these and it's been what 2 millenniums since Maybe the purpose of the dream is for you and us who hear such to live on the reality of his return 😊 |
Its not maybe, he is coming soon. And you are right we should live on the reality of his return. Many signs point to his return, he said we should be watching for his coming and if we watch, we will know, that day will not take us by surprise. gohf: |
