People in close countries eg, Philippines, India, Bangladesh and lots of other countries with poorer people than naija will fill such roles, people that can fly out with little money to their countries for the 3 month exclusion period yet earning will still make sense.
As a naija person imagine the cost of ticket from naija to new Zealand, then think of flying out then returning every year. At the end of the day no meaningful saving go de.
You're right. I think that serves excellently for those whose sole post-retirement age dream is to return home. But I like discouraging folks from rushing into such plans on the fly. Enough of them come here ava barely spend 2 years before starting the cycle of sending money home for relatives to start buying cements and building materials for them instead of deepening and accelerating their employability potentials with quick strategic investments of time, effort and those initial savings they first make here to fund solid foundations, quantum leaps and relative financial freedom for themselves later.
It's those types I like counseling not to not always rush home to Naija all the time.

Getting out to other countries really broaden your perspectives, informs you of options and helps you plan the next phase of your evolution out here better. What most of our folks do is get in, get excited about the new lifestyle, quality of life, tech, pay etc and they settle down to accept to work till they die in their new rat race here.

Those who grow over that level to build businesses that extended them beyond solo effort had an entrepreneurial initiative and an ownership mindset that most of us here lack and seeing other environments beyond your 9-5 cubicle office or factory warehouse shifts really help with that.

Just compare how many business owners we have in the Jewish, Indian, Pakistani communities. Look at the various China Town districts, the Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern business dynasties here and you wonder how and why we the Nigerian communities really often get it wrong.

With the exception of our South Eastern Igbo brothers, the rest of us haven't quite gotten the operational logic of forging business relationships and growing strong financial communities that help more of us settle in faster and which actually serve as economic growth catalysts for our home countries, families and communities.

Vacationing in Naija will come easier when we are industry kings comfortably crisscrossing continents. 👍

Visa details and eligibility

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate prior employment in a relevant seasonal role for at least three separate seasons within the past six years. Additionally, visa holders will be required to spend a minimum of three months outside New Zealand annually to retain their eligibility.

Haha..

Meanwhile, I’ll never advice any Nigerian to travel to New Zealand. It’s a very cold country! Very very cold..

E doesn't make sense..

But what you stated isn’t what they’re saying..

You’re not to return to Naija every year, but to go to any country of your choice outside New Zealand for 3 months yearly. You can choose to go to USA, UK, India, Europe, anywhere outside New Zealand sha..

I fully understand that, but how many people will even go to new Zealand for seasonal work if you have UK or US visas even European in the first place? How many countries in the Asian Pacific are visa free to nigerians, closeby enough to make savings in the cost of tickets. Don't forget the reason your are flying out is because you must spend 3 months in a year outside new Zealand, meanwhile one will be earning minimum wage.
Even India if all places is not visa free to Nigerians. You must apply for visa from Nigeria.

I thought they said 3 months not few weeks exclusion period, besides is Indonesia or Philippines visa free to nigerians? Even if it is not, the cost of staying there for 3 months may not make sense, rather fly back to Nigeria.

There are lots of valid criticisms. But some people are being silly.

And unlike some of the terrible places some are looking to go, NZ is actually a developed country where a lot of the population has sense and aren't degenerates.

That said, it's not the UK, US, or Canada. But it's also not Asia or latin America either.

And people shouldn't think so small. This opportunity gives access to that market. You could easily use that access to set up a business, acquire property, or whatever. There are people in Nigeria collecting rent money on property abroad, and it pays all their bills. There are people who use the resources they access abroad to set up random businesses that do well, like auto parts businesses.

That's not an issue, please don't discourage anyone. You really don't know each pulse and savings and how buoyant they're. I wish everyone successful their application processes

Yes right!
After getting visas most New Zealand applicants don't go because of this factor hidden or unknown to them.

I say again, check flight ticket before you apply to any country.
