Any car owner that cannot afford fuse which cost price is not up ₦100, is not worthy to be using car . Fuse is the cheapest vehicle body type. |

There's no need showing proof....it's a simple thing. When you do a bypass especially when it has to do with currents and all, just know you are compromising something in the connection that can be a danger to your car. buygala: |

Ogurube:Do you have any experience with ACURA MDX 2015? I like the looks and the likes, but I'd like to know if its a decent car, maintenance-wise, driving-wise, fuel-wise etc. and perhaps it's challenges for both Nigerian and foreign used. |

Avoid acura. Buy benz .lex or toyota. Acura gas mileage very poor. Parts vewi expensive. Headlamp 800k. Side mirror 200k. 2nd hand value vewi low Hydronium: |

Those car electrician working on people cars should fear God and think of safety other than immediate money to pocket. They should insist on doing the right things always. I don't think any car owner will suggest to them to bypass it. They are the one that will insist "it will work oga don't worry" Then, car owners should also be vigilant when u take your car for repair don't allow cutting- corners. autoscandoc: |

This happened to me. When my car fan stopped working. One of the fuse cut. My mechanic took the burnt fuse to radionic and the dude solder it. For the mean time everything was fine. Later the fuse for the fan cut again which stopped the fan from working again and the car started overheating. But this time, the soldered fuse now return fire to the fan burning the place. The fire was transferred to the entire fuse box as my car started overheating cus of the fan blade that stopped working. The thing almost burnt my car as all the sensor wire in the fuse box that leads to brain box were all burn. When I took it to rewire, the man said I was lucky that my car could have caught fire while driving. I had to change the entire fuse box, run an entire wiring to it and replace my fan again. I spent more than 150k for that little mistakes as it also affects my car android, It was a terrible experience. Anything wrong with my car now, I replace with a new one no join join management again. Lesson learnt. |

Insist they use copper wire..at least like 2 to 3 tiny strands. That won't burn your car down. Also it depends on the fuse sha.i no dey talk of bypassing o. |

This is such an important safety reminder! I've seen mechanics suggest wire bypasses as a 'quick fix' but it completely defeats the purpose of having fuses in the first place. The fuse is literally designed to be the weakest link in the circuit - it sacrifices itself to protect the expensive (and sometimes dangerous) components downstream. You're absolutely right that replacing a blown fuse is inexpensive. What I'd add is that if a fuse keeps blowing repeatedly, that's a sign of an underlying electrical problem that needs proper diagnosis - not a bigger fuse or a bypass. The fuse is telling you something is wrong. Thanks for spreading awareness about this. A lot of people don't realize how dangerous electrical fires can be in vehicles, especially since they often happen while driving. |
