I submitted my documents for verification at the Portuguese Embassy back in May, and I'm still waiting to be called for the legalisation process. Up until now, I haven’t received any response or message from the embassy. Is it normal for it to take this long? Because at this point, I may no longer be able to meet up with this year’s admission. |

Mafu2g2:i think embassy must have forwarded your documents to NUC in which NUC inturn will send it to your school for proper verification...so most delays do come from NUC n schools if you don't have link to help you push for it at NUC Omo you go wait tire |

Please can I submit a bank statement where the first two weeks are blank as proof of funds? For context, I started running my account last week and intend to go for visa appointment in second week of November, by then, I would've had about 2months and 2 weeks steady inflow and outflow. Will the empty 2 weeks in the beginning affect it? As I understand I need to print 3months so I have to print it with starting date of early august and I don't have any transactions till late august. |

Mafu2g2:You need to do NUC follow up if not the documents may not get to embassy for legalisation, sometimes, NUC may send to your sch, and the sch will be waiting for you to reach out to them by paying verification fee before they can reply back NUC mail. So please do that. |

| Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by freedomtours(m): 10:09pm On Aug 29, 2025 |
Olajohn0808:yes they do, you just need your Neco certificate and your SS1-SS3 transcript. with this you are good to go also make sure you collect your transcript from the same sch you did your o level, the sch name in your Neco certificate should correspond with the same school name in your transcript. |

Studying in Portugal 🇵🇹 is considered cheaper than most European countries because •you can pay tuition in 8 - 10 installments and tuition ranges from 1000-7000 per year , depending on course and school. • Students can also move with their family if they can prove enough finance. • Citizenship in 5years (study year included) • Work Dey ( but the wages might not be as high as bigger countries like Germany and France but it’s enough) • your spouse can work, free education for your kids and free healthcare for all • Automatic Citizenship to your child if you give birth in Portugal. someone requested that why l decide to post it here. Note: This is a top secret the best time to apply for admission is in the 1st phase of Admission Cycle, which start by November, because that when most of the schools in Portugal admission quotas is highest, that is to say, one chance of getting admission is high during this period compare to other phases in their cycle of admission. you need to factor this because of the fact that you are going to pay application fees and some school application fees are as high as 50-70 Euros, I know some people that applied 2-5 times before getting Admission, so in order not to find yourself in this situation, you better apply early when your chances is high. |

freedomtours:Pls what is the amount of proof of funds required for Portugal student visa and must someone legalise a document in Portugal embassy, their admission process is very difficult 😞 |
| Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by freedomtours(m): 11:18pm On Sep 08, 2025 |
Odingo1:From 18m and above, especially if u are not moving with your family. There legalisation process is not difficult and you will need to legalize before applying for admission, because most of their school there request for it Even though some wil ask you to apply without legalizing but after collecting your application fee they will still denial you admission and will also state you was denial on the same reason. |

[quote author=isholapeter9 post=136531313]Hello 👋 ma, Please do I need to legalize my documents at the Finnish Embassy again after completing authentication with MoE and MFA in Abuja? I want to apply for vocational training in Finland dis year.... please I need ur input thanks 🙏 Apply for Latvia guys (its in the EU & Schengen). Only downside is you have to go to Egypt to apply cos that’s where their embassy is. I just got my residency permit approved 2&half years. Funny thing I applied for a vocational school with just my Waec cert (attested&authenticated) plus I’m 39yrs old. My wife will be joining me next yr. |
