Some news are dead on arrival. No matter how you spin it, are you expecting the state with the highest income to receive a low deposit? |

sreamsense:Lagos generates the revenue because of federal investments since it was made capital of amalgamated Nigeria in 1914. Since you don’t know anything about that, is it possible that you know what happened to all the federal funds and the trillions annual budget such that posh Lekki people and other Lagosians don’t have water? fergie001: |

owobokiri:I hope Asiwaju will start restructuring of this goddam country and state resource control in his second term so that these failed States won't bite and complain about Lagos again which is the finger that is feeding them and i hope Lagos has indigenous benefit card to ward off economic Almanjiris from a goddam region. When they troop in, they claim it's former capital but when lagos get any investment from the FG they cry maginization |

The question for the “awalokan: The N3.9 trillion was approved for the Southwest, but the real question is the distribution. How much of this allocation is going to Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, and Kwara States? Without a clear breakdown, it is difficult to measure whether Tinubu’s administration is genuinely pursuing a balanced Southwest agenda or simply concentrating resources to just one state. |

owobokiri:Lagos contributes more to federal government, Lagos is the most populated state in Nigeria, Lagos has the least landmass in Nigeria meaning the too much population in the state put plenty of pressure on the infrastructure hence government must be proactive by rehabilitating these infrastructures before the cost lives and properties. It's not everything that is politics. |

owobokiri:I am not a fan of Tinubu at all .... And rejoiced when the entire Nation celebrated Peter Obi's birthday. but I like the way he has packed all appointments to Yoruba not because I am Yoruba or because I will benefit from any of the appointments but he is doing payback for Buhari placing the national with so many of his kinsmen in top positions. There may be vindictiveness behind it. I hope when Peter Obi becomes our president there may be a reset. I want Peter Obi to be our president and more Peter Obi's after him. We cannot move forward with Tinubu, Atiku or the Old breed. Let it be very clear Nigeria needs a Factory Reset badly and a Peter Obi is a good idea. Most importantly every Nigerian must change because A Messiah cannot do it all. If I was Tinubu I would make a Cow the Minister of Education and a Goat the Minister of Transportation. Maybe that is the shockwave Nigeria needs all the MFS need to know they ain't shiit |

buygala:Looks like this your Emilokan regime is finally making sense. Just as I’ve always said, it’s the story of Animal Farm all over again, “all animals are equal” until after the victory, when suddenly some become “more equal than others.” Now, the other Southwest states have been reduced to the neglected workhorses and forgotten hens of the farm used for the struggle, but sidelined once the feast began. YORUBAs! You can now see that Tinubu is not fighting for any southwest agenda, but a selfish policy that would definitely affect the whole of southwest later. This I have seen. |

Can someone show the passenger traffic to those so called Airports and how much the FG has ever generated in the past 20 years from those glorified bus stations called Airports? How many people dey fly from Akure Airport in a whole year? |

sreamsense:Lagos generates most of the cash that it pays into the federal purse through port related activities at the different federal sea ports in Lagos. But here is the kicker; most of the containers that come into Lagos ports, ends up in the south-east! Essentially, almost 70% of all containers cleared in the socalled Lagos Ports are moved to Onitsha, Nnewi and Aba overnight! Do your check and have some solemn moments.. And we have not talked about the percentage of the remaining containers that are cleared by south-east businesses all over the country and Lagos too. These are intimidating numbers that must never be overlooked anymore. You can't claim that the regional origins of the business owners of the companies, that paid those tariffs which generated those humongous revenues should not matter.. It should count, especially if you are going to make a lot of noise because ports built by the federal government generates so much in "your land"... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2022/09/65-of-containers-from-abroad-end-up-in-southeast-niwa/amp/

I dislike Bola Tinubu's governance model but when the Daura failure was busy concentrating projects in Katsina state, to the point he constructed a world class helipad close to his backyard, we didn't see all these half-baked articles chastising him. You media people should let us rest with useless epistles. Nigerians are more focused on surviving every new day under this penurious and disastrous regime foisted on us by children of the corn . |

Enough of this nonsense. Tinubu should enact a referendum to split the country into 5 or 6. We will agree to share the oil wealth for the next 15 years to give everyone time to build new capital cities if they chose, airports, seaports, road infrastructure etc. with the Niger delta getting the lion share. Everyone will get their president. We cannot continue in this toxic marriage arranged by the white man ( British) any longer. It's not working and it will never work. Let's divide and see how things go. . |

owobokiri:From your initial epistle and lamentations. It's quite obvious that you're from the southeast region. So much jealousy for Lagos. Where the containers go is not our business. Our business is... Our port generate the most revenue. If you don't like that then use somewhere else. It's that simple. |
Data Shows Lagos Gets 17% Of VAT Contributions As Imo Takes 1,716% • Nigeria Lost ₦2.9trn Through Contract Fraud In 3 Years - Olukoyede • Governors Endorse FG’s Proposal To Share Only N900bn From N1.9trn FAAC Revenue • 2 • 3 • 4
2027: Voting Against Tinubu Will Be Evil; He Is Our In-Law - Governor Oborevwori • Presidential Aspirant Beg President Buhari To relinquish power to Olawepo Hashim • Residents Groan As Water Scarcity Persists In States In Nigeria
What it means is that the competition for the position of the president will now become more ruthless and end up a "do or die" project. If you win, you have everything and if you lose? You get nothing! In a multi ethnic state! Now you tell me; how would Nigeria not die as a result? And this arrangement was foisted on us by the same set of garrulous people that always lay greater claims to being the most patriotic in the country!
