Warren Buffett earns $2.23 million daily from his $25 billion Coca-Cola investment through Berkshire Hathaway's 400 million shares, generating $816 million annually from a $2.04 per-share dividend.

Please be kind enough to tell people this is Coca-Cola United States and not NBC Plc Nigeria , both are coca cola stocks selling in different countries. If this is not done, another generation might waste God given opportunities in a fruitless gamble to get rich

Please don't deceive people into this gamble of a stock, because I was deceived by buying intercontinental last public offer of one thousand shares in 2007, for my son but after seventeen years, one thousand naira was given as dividends.

Please is it that the Bank failed me or the money failed me.

Stock trading (shares) and bitcoin trading (buying and holding or little sales) are two businesses that I tried, and deep down I lost lot....virtually everything I have saved
(despite the total money I lost...it is small savings of mine).

Since then, I promised myself not to try those two line of business. it is not for me. Another line of business I will try once more before conclusion is Forex trading.

The most important thing is for someone to find his line of business that his profit making is greater than his loss. There is a niche for everyone.

Gambling, it is not a line of business. It is madness to make money legitimately, and invest it in gambling (virtual and football predictions) all in the quest to get rich overnight. Many has lost it, and would turn around to blame village people.

Build your wealth gradually rather than gambling over 30 percent of your salary trying to get massive rich....My little advice to people in such line of ludo playing (gambling ) all in the name of investment.

NB: Tried learning programming, but got to realise that , that line of study/work is also not for me.

The difficulty is understanding the various codes syntax, and the challenges you run into when a single character misses thereby rendering all you did useless (because you will be struggling to figure out where the error is)

Lastly, and most importantly, I always get zoned out when I start learning it. I think service-based and centric profession is what I align to mostly

Also, NBC isn't Coca-Cola. They are just bottlers of the product.

He would have made more had they reinvested the dividends. The money might be double or even triple what it is today.

It is a requirement you can make when buying a US stock

The public should beware of misinformation like the above. Do your research don't allow stupid fools to scam you of ur hard earn money.

NBC shares and Nigerian Stock Exchange have been a conduit for scamming the public since thieves such as Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke,Dangote took over since 2000-2010 upward. These two wrecked the lives of shareholders. My family was a big victim of their greed and kleptomaniac behaviors.

It shall never be well with them all.

My cousins checked the SEC website and discovered that their late father had shares in about six major Nigerian companies, purchased between 2001 and 2005. So far, they've only been able to access one of them which, according to them, is currently valued at around ₦500 million

Tbvh, I see no reason why buying and hodling would return a loss for you. The only reasons that should happen are
1. wrong timing of entry and exit.
2. Impatience
3. Understanding of how the market works.

OK, let's equate this with farming maize. In a normal situation a farmer would have to plant the seeds at the beginning of the raining season not when dry season is about to start. They may not even grow up to knee cap level before they scorched to death. Trading is similar, time and price matter. Intermediate and long term investment plans that involves buying and hodling should have a plan and not just done on hype.
What I mean by impatience is that, the money is not the type that you would probably want to leave in the market for months or years so you pull it out during a period of need and do not bother if there is a drawdown. Definitely that would also incur a loss.
On the issue of understanding the markets, many people pay little attention to financial education. In trading, knowledge is as important as execution if not more. On a lighter note, when they say "if education is expensive, try ignorance", I guess they were talking about trading.

I perfectly understood all you said. But like I said, I gave up on that line of investment.
It is not for me. Good luck to those who have carved a niche out of it.

True, multiple streams of income is necessary in our harsh clime.

programming is becoming obsolete thanks to AI, the worst thing is I didn't earn a penny with that skill, and I feel I wasted years learning something that ai is now doing in few seconds just by receiving specific commands, I wouldn't feel the need to stress myself if I were you because it's not even worth it anymore, the reason you're not learning it is because instead of just trying to understand it you'd rather remember and cram codes, these days AI even debug wrong lines of code so why are you wasting your time cramming syntax and codes, understand what it's all about, know how to build things, know data structures and how things work in the backend, just understand it, you'll be fine, they're several tools you can use when coding, even newbies can code now.

I understand you’re considering trying out Forex trading. From my own experience with stock and bitcoin trading, I realized it’s important to first build a strong knowledge base before committing funds. You can take trading courses through Coronation Investment Academy. They provide structured training that will help you understand the market better and trade more confidently

Not same as the one in Naija.

Nonetheless, investing in foreign markets can be very rewarding.
