I have been following the development strides of this for almost 8 years now, most notably because it would reduce our carbon footprint on the planet earth. Currently, TESLA provides a similar technology although for ground transport but not particularly suited for mass transit.

What is SkyWay (uSky)?

I believe that Skyway (uSky) is the Future of Transportation around the globe.

SkyWay (uSky) is an innovative, environmentally friendly, eco-friendly solution to modern problems of urban, freight, and high-speed transport. The international project is being developed first in Belarus and now in the United Arab Emirates. Its vehicles ply on a second-level string or rail overpass, a low-noise electric transport system capable of attaining speeds of up to 500km/h (its high-speed models).

The company came out with a 15-stage development plan, with each stage having 3 sub-stages and starting in 2014. On the 19th of October 2022, the company entered stage 14.3 inching closer to its IPO (Initial Public Offer).

Prior to 2018, the company had concentrated all its efforts and resources on creating a test park in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, where also it has its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. In 2018 they broke into the Middle East in their stride to globalize the technology and also to afford them a site to adapt the vehicle models used in Belarus for the tropics!

uSky Transport introduced a comfortable and safe uBus

uSky Transport presents safe models uBus U4-210, uBus U4-220 and uBus Carat. They are designed for daily comfortable trips on urban and suburban routes in various climatic conditions.

uBus — an electric rail vehicle on steel wheels designed for urban and suburban routes. It moves on overpasses with a prestressed track structure based on the innovative uSky railbed.

All uBus models are automatically operated and driven by electric traction drive. The electric motors are fed from the catenary system or from the onboard storage. They are combined with wheels into a single unit — a wheel motor.

Students of the American University of Sharjah have highly appreciated the uSky technology

The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park hosted a group of students from the American University of Sharjah. Representatives from uSky Transport presented the uSky technology to young professionals.

As part of the presentation, the students got to know more about the uSky Technology and looked at the high-speed uFlash, the freight uCont as well as the certified tropical uCar U4-430, which recently added to the range of electric vehicles tested. Visitors to SRTI Park can now take the uCar U4-430 for a test ride at the uSky Testing and Certification Centre to see for themselves the reliability, comfort and safety of the latest vehicle.
