Let's see how frustrated Nigerians will pour their frustration on this trend as if churches are the cause of their problem.

Here's something worth considering. Before cashless economy became a thing, in the headquarters of one of Nigeria's largest churches, even with several cash counting machines, they will be counting the offering of one Sunday till another Sunday meets them. A steady and endless inflow of cash.

I know of someone in the offering department who built two houses and a filling station from money he was steadily stealing from the offering room. He and his fiancée were caught later on but quietly let go.

Let's not forget that earlier this year, 4 pastors contributed 500 million each to buy a rolls Royce for the richest church pastor in the world here in Nigeria.

I have no argument against any pastor. They didn't force anyone to part with money.
Your conclusion is quite plausible. But can we also conclude that we can't have any arguments against romance scammers since they didn't force their victims to part ways with thier money?

The church has done more for Nigerians more than Nigeria has done for Nigerians.
Contrary to your stance, religion is arguably the reason Africans are docile. Religion teaches you to always pray for those in authority and not to antagonize them.

Imagine a society where the citizens can hold leaders accountable and they're able to reap the benefits of sound leadership, they wouldn't need the chc or the mosque for their charities.

Everytime Church this and Church that.

When are you going to make a post about about the wealth of other religions sects.

Because you know Christians pose no threat, just continue, God is watching.

This is so on point📌
I don’t think anyone is restricted from opening a church. Open your church, make billions of Naira, buy a private jet and live like a king too. They should stop complaining and whining about😕

Who is deceiving who?
Did anybody force you from your house to any church
If you are not gaining anything anywhere you belong to then get out of the place
And stop talking about conscience, because you don't have any , otherwise you would not sit at the corner of your house and condemn people who has no dealings or offence against you
Leave the guy, he's forming "conscience".. as if without conscience he can garner a congregation of up to 15 members. Losers Inc. grin

Funny enough, we that do the giving joyfully and willingly (which is the basic requirement by the way) are not complaining.

I don’t understand why haters are the ones complaining on our behalf. Shuo!

Nigeria has one of the worst GDP per Capita in Africa so what are you saying , even Benin Republic has almost double our GDP per Capita ..
The GDP per Capita is just paper analysis as development is concerned in Africa. Most of you don't travel, you allow paper propaganda to give false impression of situations.

There are many Benin artisans in Nigeria, go and tell that bullshit.

Nigeria and South Africa remain the major economies in Africa.

For you to even say GDP per Capita is just paper analysis shows the mindset bedeviling you ? Have you traveled across Africa more than me ? I have been to many countries and Nigeria is the place with the worst standard of living i have seen and there is even statistics to support this :

1 Nigeria has the most number of poor people earth

2 Nigeria has the most percentage of poor people on earth .

3. Nigeria has the highest infant mortality rate on earth

4.Nigeria has the highest motherhood mortality rate on earth

5 . Nigeria has the highest number of out of school children on earth

6 . Nigeria has one of the worst access to healthcare on earth

7. Worst access to electricity supply on earth

8. One of the worst access to potable water supply on earth .

9 number 1 in open defecation on earth

10 . One of the most corrupt countries on earth

11 one of the lowest life expectancy on earth

12.. Kidnapping capital of the earth

13 number 1 country where Christians are most killed on earth .

14 one of the leading destination for Islamic terrorism on earth.

Pound for pound Nigeria is one of the worst places on earth if not the worst ..

Statistics don't liez if you like to can keep deceiving yourself

I was a minister for a long time in one of these mega "churches". If not for God's grace I would've switched from being a Christian. In many of these churches, evangelism is said to be done "to win souls", but the real intent is to woo customers. "Church" growth in your parish is determined by how much money you send to the headquarters. If you can't jump, shout and dramatize on the pulpit, then you're not "spirit-filled". And by the way, you don't challenge the GO and "church" doctrines, no matter how unbiblical. That I wiuldn't stand. I regularly pointed out these irregularities, to the point I was seen as a rebel. For my spiritual sanity, I had to leave. I'm happy I left religion. As I always say, those that will be lost will be lost.

Princes of anti-christ writing again to turn away the eyes of the people from the cross.

There will always about church. Who say other religions doesn't have money?

Saudi and other Arab nations spend billions of dollars on religion and it's through individuals contribution, donations and paying their tithe also.

Gullibles and princes of anti-christ like you would surely believe and support you.
Can't help but laugh at the irony here.

Just go and open your own church or did anybody stop you, if you think is that easy start your church today, registration is free
When I read responses like this I always remember that being logical is a taboo to most Nigerians. This is like telling somebody that is complaining about how politicians are running the country aground to also go and form his own political party and contest too. Some Nigerians are so brainwashed to the point they're irredeemable. Lolz. So, nobody can complain about anything again then. If you complain about price of fuel, just be advised to go and start your own oil drilling business and refinery to see how easy it is, right? grin grin grin grin

with diz kind update wey u get, u 4 don open ur own church n buy private too.

because, you know, everybody wishes to con people using religion, right? So if someone comes out to expose how politicians float fake companies to siphon government money, your retort would be "how many fake companies have you floated, and how much have you siphoned? The high level of gullibility and absolute lack of logical reasoning in Nigerians is mindboggling. You wonder why any dodgy character can come, dupe Nigerians, get away with it, and with those same Nigerians he duped defending him. It would've been funny, if not that it's tragic.

Do you really think people should be collecting money and employing people to spread the gospel that Jesus died for your sins past present and future two thousand years ago?.
Do you think it is right to allow people to be saying in public that God is burning people in hell for unbelief and idolatry?.
Do you think anybody should be allowed to be saying any human being is something other human beings can never become like God, son of God or last prophet?.
These issues have been causing problems on Earth for centuries and they were not an issue before the invention of Christianity
Lawal Abdulhakeem,
Afain, I understand that your beliefs prohibits freedom in any way. But I will reiterate my words: if they like, let them sell heaven in a bottle. As far as they aren't FORCING anyone on it or robbing anyone, then they are legally carrying out their own business simply because they are asking for money in return for the wares they sell.

And that same Christianity that was "invented" permitted you to have your own freedom to be a follower of that man you call a prophet by reason of the freedom the Christian Europeans gave in the choice of belief when they conquered all of Africa.

Meaning that yoou worship the god yoou are worshipping simply because the invented Christianity permitted you to.
Now you see what freedom entails, right?

You are not free to make a career of libelling someone's parents for instance. They will sue you. The same should be true of God. There was spiritual decorum on Earth before religions were invented. Nobody was telling anybody to abandon their culture and be following a particular path. No Jihads or crusades. That is the natural state of humanity. What we have now is unnatural. We don't need the freedom to describe God as a mad man. That is not good freedom

Did you see Dr Paul Enenche last election? He shouted but y'all told him to keep his snout out of politics.
Pst Chris is against government propaganda on a global scale.

Show me a place where u cant find imitation or fake product, n i will show u a place where original product does not exist.
the topic on whether some impersonators has paraded themselves in God's name to commit all manner of atrocity is ok, but what the article is about is totally calling the church a home of lie, deciet, corruption, and mind slavey and that is what i call madness.

the OP is not only blind to the beautiful side of the church, but he lacks common sense.
