This is the exact reason why I didn't bother to even check him out. You know the usual me, I would have checked him out myself to understand who or what he stands for, but unlike me, I didn't because I just had a feeling that it is another 21st century fuckery. I first saw Gehgeh among the trending topics on Twitter and wondered what Nigerians were up to again. However, the same Twitter that "Yansh" trended some months back is the same Twitter that this Gehgeh was trending, so I followed my guts and didn't bother checking the topic.

We give too much importance to rubbish in this part of the world. With the plethora of challenges currently facing us as a people, Just imagine the nonsense that is occupying our social media space and discourse. What is he saying that our fathers and elders have not already told us? What is he saying that psychologically damaged people have not already opined over the years? What is he saying that we have not already heard over the years, so why on earth is he trending? Why is nonsense trending? Why is toxicity and mediocrity occupying our social discourse?
