Anti-party allegations not enough to punish Wike – PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party has stated that former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, cannot be sanctioned for alleged anti-party activities unless a formal petition is submitted with supporting evidence.

According to the party’s Deputy National Legal Adviser, Mr. Okechukwu Osuoha, although a disciplinary committee has been established to investigate and address internal infractions, no action has been taken against any member so far due to the absence of officially filed complaints.

Osuoha, speaking in Abuja on Monday, stated that while the party’s National Executive Committee has established a disciplinary committee led by elder statesman Chief Tom Ikimi, with Eyitayo Jegede as secretary, no member has been sanctioned to date.

“People often ask me specifically about the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike — why don’t we discipline him? Why don’t we take action? I tell them: It is not enough to merely say someone has committed an offence,” Osuoha stated.

He emphasised that anyone accusing a party member must file a formal petition and be ready to testify and present evidence when the accused is summoned.

“When that petition is written and presented, the petitioner must also be ready to come and testify. If the person accused is invited, you must come with your evidence,” he said.

According to Osuoha, the challenges facing disciplinary enforcement are not unique to the PDP but reflect broader systemic issues in Nigeria’s political and legal institutions.

“This is the same problem with our wider Nigerian system. It is not just about pointing out anomalies; the challenge is following them up to a conclusion,” he said.

Until PDP expel Wike, PDP won't know peace. I can't fathom how PDP leaders would watch Wike destroying the party and then they would go home and sleep peacefully.

Joke of a Party. A once biggest party in Africa has been taken over by clowns grin

Wike should leave PDP if he knows he still has that popularity he claims, the influence is over those red cap chiefs bootlicking his shoes.

Everybody knows he lacks relevance without state institutions which many nations see as terrorists organizations.

Chai!! Chai!! Which kind wahala be this??

I can't believe that a party which has the likes of Prof Jerry Gana, Sule Lamido, Bukola Saraki, GEJ, etc, will say that they can't punish Wike for his numerous anti-party activities.

What happened to the other party members who have been punished for same offense in the past?

Be like say Wike is now more powerful than all the aforementioned combined, and even bigger than the party.

This Nigeria na real Jungle.

With all his antics in the last elections, to serving as minister with the opposition, what more evidence do you want. At this point, it's best we do an official burial ceremony for the PDP.

Stop going round fooling yourselves that you still have a political party.

NB: I am not an APC labrat, nor Obidient. Look well b4 you quote to mention my post.

A party member is telling the whole world that he would support party in govt at detriment of ur candidate, yet you don't see anything wrong with him.

Check the PDP man that said this now, he is one of moles in PDP.

Its the likes of Bode George I pity most, putting himself in gutter environment with gutter people that are age mates of his son.

This will be difficult because almost all politicians are involved in antiparty in one way or the other.
Re: Anti-Party Allegations Not Enough To Punish Wike – PDP by Kingpele(m): 9:23am On Sep 02, 2025
PDP has become shadow of itself ...I can't believe PDP can be this powerless to do the basic thing, which is to punish a member who's opening fighting the party...well that serves them right.....they were busy shouting power to the people...up and down yet refused to give real power to the people by providing good service to the people, rather they caged themselves by giving power to the elites...because who's wike in 2000 ...when men with balls was in PDP...men like obj, ekwueme etc ....

Wike would still end up as PDP's presidential candidate. Save this comment.

I know for sure that there are thousands of Noble, capable and powerful persons in the PDP.

They'll Clip Wike's wings and deal with him decisively very soon.

Wait untill they flush out Wike's moles in the coming PDP Convention at Ibadan.

Re: Anti-Party Allegations Not Enough To Punish Wike – PDP by ddippset(m): 9:25am On Sep 02, 2025
grin grin

Those who should punish him are the ones making excuses for him.

Are PDP really thinking that Wike will not do everything possible to undermine the party to make way for Tinubu?

Me, I am not a member of PDP, I don't even have any close relative or friend who is a member,,

But I feel more shame for PDP than they feel for themselves!

PDP is an organization founded on falsehood, a bunch of shameless hypocrites, liars and thieves

When you spend your whole life lying to other people you eventually end up lying to yourself

Then my question is; who will submit the petition. Is obvious that wike is the owner of PDP.
Re: Anti-Party Allegations Not Enough To Punish Wike – PDP by Dimuche: 9:31am On Sep 02, 2025
What is this PDP official saying? That Wike's anti party activities are not clear enough to get rid of him? There must be something PDP is gaining from Wike.
Re: Anti-Party Allegations Not Enough To Punish Wike – PDP by Cherrybae(f): 9:32am On Sep 02, 2025
Those saying PDP should expel wike, why not send in your petition and be ready to go testify.

Wike built PDP to greatness. Wike was singlehandedly financing PDP for 8yrs.

PDP are not ingrate. They value and appreciate wike

How will you expel someone that feeds you?

Shun sentiment. PDP can never expel wicked wike.

*Laughs in the tone of Bode George, the covert.

Nobody ever bothers to find out about Bode George role in all of these.

Nobody bothered to find out how Jimi Agbaje defiantly kept returning as PDP candidate in Lagos State, killing the party's chances.

How Lagos State PDP was bought over.

How Jandor decamp from APC to suddenly become PDP's saviour candidate expected to win the elections.

All the while Bode George was professing hatred for Tinubu even vowed he'd leave the country should Tinubu win.

Killing PDP is not just Wike alone. Behind the scenes...

Bode George, I hail you.

PDP is gone to the gutters. My candid advice to Goodluck Jonathan is that he should desert the party called PDP because the party is controlled by people that are loyal to Tinubu and APC.

Useless party members watch one man called Wike ruined the party and BoT members sit down and do nothing to him because of his financial endorsement to the party. PDP is buried.

The PDP ain't serious at all.
Get rid of that thieving Nyesom Wike.

Politics aside, we should sit down and think like grown up men.

I don't think everything is alright with Nyesom Wike. Logically, and base on statistics, I would advise those close to Wike to try arranging a mental therapy session in an undisclosed location and you'll see that my intuition is correct.

What arrant nonsense! Wike is clearly with Tinubu now and in 2027 which unequivocally clears that he belongs to APC in his words and actions. He even said recently that he's going to support Tinubu(APC) come 2027 general elections. What other evidence does PDP need to nail him?
PDP knows how untouchable Wike is with the federal power in his hands and so they are jittery and afraid.
Some PDP juggernauts who are having various estates in particularly Abuja might even be afraid of having them demolished on the order of Wike should they try to sack him. Simply put, Mr Wike is clearly bigger than the PDP.

He should leave so that the desperado obi who called the party a part of structure of criminality he promised to dismantle to run to them and get free ticket. Wike is there for him to move and participate in primaries. A man who want to contest the highest office shouldn't be afraid of democratic process. One term beggar.

COWARD

That's what PDP is

So all his actions and inactions against the party since 2023 are mere allegations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay o o, continue looking for evidences.
Re: Anti-Party Allegations Not Enough To Punish Wike – PDP by hotseat: 9:51am On Sep 02, 2025
One of the fundamental principles of law is that he who allegies has the burden of proof and not for the accused to prove his innocence.

If some shadowy elements are accusing Wike of anti-party activities, it's incumbent on them to file a formal petition and be ready to provide facts to back up their allegations.

Members of any political party can't be suspended or expelled based on emotions and sentiments but, by concrete and irrefutable facts and evidences.

The ball is now in the court of those accusing Wike to come forward and be prepared to testify against him.

Now, who will bell the cat?
