3 days to crucial and must win games vs Rwanda and South Africa , and only 15 players in camp as at right now. May as well focus on the Afcon in December. Faith without working is useless

If at this point FIFA and CAF are not saying anything about the 3 points deduction for South Africa I think it's official that the case has been swept under the Carpet

I also dare to add that Motsepe hands is all over this
it will come at the final stage of qualification , i remembered that during Rohr's time , it was at the final stage of qualification fifa removed the point from SE's point . so rest its not too late . SE should play well to earn their well deserved points

It's a lesson for our players in contract negotiations. Painting the clubs in bad light is the lazy way out, because at the end of the day it's a business and clubs have a fiduciary duty to do what's best for their bottom line. We can't always tow the line of sentiments particularly when said clubs haven't violated the terms of the agreed upon contracts.

Also, verbal promises aren't binding on both parties. While it may reflect poorly on morals, you're allowed to go back on your word. Mbappe promised PSG he wouldn't leave for free but he went back on his words. Nigerian players need to plan their exist when signing contracts with clubs. Include a buyout clause and you won't need to beg your way out of a contract.
In other words, those managing Osimhen and Lookman are not smart in contracts negotiations but Chukwueze's team is.

You can lay back here calling lazy and speciously speaking as you can,but until you take your craft outside of this shore, then you will understand.
That Nigerians are doing so well abroad is because they are very good and work so hard.

Your smarter take would have been that Osimhen and Chukwueze are better asset to hold on to than Chukwueze.

Not sure how you reached these conclusions reading what my comments, but I'll humour you and further clarify. Noticed also you took the "lazy take" comment personal which is also confusing as it wasn't a dig at you, but that's an aside.

First, no where did I suggest that Osimhen or Lookman's agents are dumb, the crux of my argument is that football is a business with either parties (clubs and players) looking out for their own beat interests and steps taken to justify the aforementioned shouldn't always be seen as being wicked when agreed upon terms in their contract haven't been violated.

You seemed to inferior that the treatment Lookman and Osimhen received is because they are Nigerians which isn't the case. They are just victims of their contracts. Without an agreed upon reasonable buyout, clubs are at liberty to do what helps their bottom line and that could mean keeping a player longer than he wishes of they believe said player will command better monetary value in the future or releasing a player (in this case Chukwueze) who is no longer important to their future plans.

The point is for our players to always have an existing strategy whenever they sign contracts to protect themselves should it be necessary. Of course it's a nuanced conversation especially when you consider the power imbalance at the time both Victor and Lookman signed their contracts. Victor was a young player leaving France to Italy while Lookman had a rough spell around Europe moving on loan from one club to another before Atalanta decided to take a chance on him giving him a permanent home. Players in situations like this tend to be grateful and rarely make demands of clubs like a buyout clause. But recent experiences should a reference for young players in the future in including in contract negotiations something that protects them should they need to leave their current situation.

The question you should ask yourself is "why did they let Chukwueze go and chose to frustrate and keep Osimhen and Lookman respectively" before all these you r saying.

Or you can continue to exonerate the Italian clubs of any blame because they are the shrewdest in sports business.

No matter what you have on your contracts, clubs like Napoli can still frustrate you if they choose, and even if your buy out clause is $1B,a good cllub can still let you go with a reasonable offer if they have an understanding with you.
In Osimhen's case,PSG came with a good offer, they denied him.
Players move from from Inter Milan to AC Milan to Juventus, but in Osimhen's case,no to any Italian top clubs.
Even the first Arab club that wanted to sign him, even though no one was in support of that, but Napoli Owner said they could only sign Osimhen's one leg.
Is this the kind of club owner you want to use to prove Osimhen and his agents are not smart enough in contracts negotiations?

yes! We have to panic. With the unwanted result the last time out, all hands must be on deck. We have an herculean task ahead of us to qualify for a big tournament and we still don't have all players available in camp.

Ghana, South Africa etc are on the verge of qualifying but they have a full camp already...those are teams that are serious and mentally locked in about going to the world cup and leaving no crumbs behind. But for our darling Super Eagles, with the exception of the few players who had to take care of deadline transfers like Chukwueze, Uche, Dessers and Tolu, there's absolutely no acceptable excuse why the rest aren't yet in camp.

What these set of overhyped players don't realize is that if we fail to qualify for this world cup, the effect and failure won't really hurt us as fans, we go curse, wail and vex for 3 days and move on to other distractions (afterall we are used to Super Eagles disappointing us already). The failure will be on the plahers who need a world cup more than us the fans, thank God many of us were alive to have experienced some world cups in our lifetime. The abysmal and shameful record of not making back to back world cups (first of its kind in our football history) will be a scar on the career of these players.

It's only Osimhen I even feel bad for, he's the only passionate player with that rugged Naija mentality who gives his all cause he knows what winning means, a mentality some of those players lack. What a waste of a promising generation of players, I say we disband this team and just rebuild around younger players waiting on the fringes if this lot fail to qualify for the world cup and fail to redeem themselves by winning the AFCON. The late Keshi did the same and we saw our a new generation of players emerged to win the 2013 AFCON and qualify for the world cup.
Number one blame should be on the coach because he's the one in charge of all these crumbs we call players.

And I have never believed in Chelle since day one. Dude is low grade in most aspects of his services I must say.
