You understand someone has to verify her, and that if that person doesn't verify her or verify her but incorrectly, it is the same thing as she not showing up for the verification, right? Also consider that the biometrics issue came up after her outburst and not before?

You may have missed my point that Raye courted more than one enemy - Lagos peeps, NYSC officials, political sycophants who want to impress the president (heck, the current DG is even from the same state as the president) - but I'd advise you and Raye to calm down to understand your country's system and her people.

Did you serve and did you attend orientation camp, where you be told all rules and regulations? There is always a rule to everything. The one year service is to teach you to be disciplined and being part of any organization you must obey their rules and regulations. You can live anyhow in your house and not during NYSC because it's a regimented place

Any other thing else is just speculation, even though you and I may know the main reason for extending her corp service.

The point is whatever reason for extending her service must be clearly stated and made known to her. It is on that basis that she can then proceed to appeal.

I understand that she might have crossed some powers that be, I cannot speculate since that wasn't adduced as the reason for extending her service.

If she try to argue on the topics "Worst president" and "Smelly Lagos" issues, good luck with that. However, she will equally have to address the substantive reasons as stated.

She’s not the first person to disobey the rules and regulations and she won’t be the last. It’s not enough reason to extend her service

She goofed big time but not enough reason to extend her service. We are not in military era.

This is how we allow evil to thrive in our society. We say it's not much, people Gould just accept.

It is one of the reasons the country will not move forward, people do not think they have rights. We are funny in Nigeria, just today, a reckless, careless taxi driver scratched a car, and all those present were advising the owner to drive off because it is 'just a scratch" and that the owner can clearly see the taxi driver is poor as he drives a rickety Nissan Almera, we do not understand right or wrong here.
Many Nigerians bend the knee when kicked, think they are less human than those in positions of power, those they elected, she should suffer the extension because she exercised a right of hers? An unpaid extension? Something that could be used against her In the future should she not contest this now? a perception of the conquered, indeed, I'm glad there are still mentally active Nigerians 👍🏾

If she didn't miss her biometrics, I would have said this is true. She gave them the opportunity to punish her. She missed her biometric attendance and definitely without a written and signed justification.

It's typical of NYSC to give extension. She's not the only one with 2 months extension. I'm pretty sure there are over 100 others serving the 2 months.

Just serve your two months. This is not a case you can win, sadly.

A few weeks ago, A new NYSC member who did redeployment failed to complete some documentation. We tried to push some buttons, but then, we had to let him return to that state of posting to rectify things before returning to Lagos. Better than waiting until after service year then you pay dearly for it.

How do you know she missed her biometric?
Is it because NYSC said so and you quickly believe them?
Have you heard from the girl too?
Or has any panel of enquiry or competent Court of law confirmed that?

She should take the matter to court.

The court is the only way of resolving the matter.

The Nigerian court will adjourn the case for 2 years and as long as the case is pending in court, the NYSC Discharge certificate would not be issued to her.

They already know that the immediately she approaches the court, the case will be magnified against her. You see this country, the day the courts start working, then impunity will start to disappear.

The courts are supposed to be the last hope of the ordinary man, but in Nigeria, lady justice dey peep to see how much you brought.
