Please who watch the match between lessotho and south africa today, it's comfirm that Nigeria is playing South africa in the same stadium.
The pitch in the stadium are not smooth, I don't know if somebody else notice it. South Africa has beautiful stadium, why are they taking Nigeria to that kind of pitch.

This 2nd Place Playoffs is now our only realistic chance of qualifying, though very slim.

But then we must still win ALL our remaining 4matches, finish with 19pts, & Pray for other contending countries to drop points.
Then go & face Playoffs.

Current Playoffs table...

I could be wrong, but as it stands now...Even if we win all our 4 remaining games convincingly, qualification is still not guaranteed because we will have to hope for the playoffs, so our best chance is to make the playoffs. But then we already have the best 4 teams that are currently in better positions than us to make the playoffs based on points, so we will have to pray they all drop points in their groups respectively for us to sneak in.

Barring a mathematical slip up or perhaps a miracle, we might not make the world cup and I've made peace with that; except the god of football is a Nigerian.

Super Eagles should be ashamed of themselves though. I expected South Africa to flog Lesotho, but still super eagles were shameless and underwhelming in this World Cup qualifiers, it’s more annoying now self, it’s up to them to prove a point, as for fans I feel we should remove our minds from this World Cup, we don try, there is a chance, but this players are not one to trust, they are not just dogged enough, let’s just cruise and enjoy the friendly, because this shameless bunch fit go draw Rwanda or loose tomorrow grin

SA beat Benin home and Away
SA beat Lesotho home and home
It remain Zimbabwe for them to do a double on….Rwanda is the only team that beat them 2-0.
All SA needs to do now is to avoid deafeat from Nigeria and also avoid upset from Rwanda….these are the 2keys games holding them from qualifying to the world cup

If 3 points is not deducted from SA its 100% over for nigeria(including playoff chance)
But if the 3 points is deducted and Niheeia win all their games left. We will tie with SA and then comes first on the plays off table (for having tie points with group leaders)
Except any other team also has tie in other groups.
But Nigeria chances rely of FiFa deducting points and S.E winning all ther matches

South Africa have played really well. No doubt about that. They came third at AFCON while Nigeria came second. The consistency and growth in their national team is obvious for all neutral to observe.

Sadly, Nigeria is in a precarious situation, we missed out of the last world cup to an African rival. Missing out of another world cup to our anglophone rival again is a hard pill to swallow.

Football isn't just a sport for us, it is a lifestyle, it is an escape from the struggles of our society. It is our little hope and joy. We may not have played well from the beginning of this qualifiers, but we know what we have to do right at the end. We are more than capable of grabbing the maximum 12 points in our remaining fixtures.

That's what defines us, that's what defines the Nigerian spirit. The Nigerian mentality. We are a people of struggle and we know how to crack the egg from the inside when it matters most. This is the Nigerian spirit. We'd never give up.

But now, it will be a game of politics and law. We in our character and element will not let go of South Africa's foul play that allowed for a suspended player to participate in a game where he should be on suspension.

It's the law, not bullying. We can't bully south Africa, they are not Lesotho or Swaziland for us to bully. They are an economic giant of Africa. But it is rather unfortunate that the law is supreme. We have equally been on the receiving end of the law. So at the end of the day should Nigeria finish with the maximum points it is only right that South Africa loses their 3 points .

I wish the south African side success, I know they are a good side. Well funded and on the right trajectory. But this world cup is not for them.

Keep hope alive. Truth be told Nigeria started this qualifying round horribly. Maybe Nigeria can sneak in through the playoffs. If they beat Rwanda tomorrow. Then they can beat South Africa too.

Some1 was telling me that today me and him actually argued abt it for a long time.
I told him they will first consider other greater points.. he said No he is 100% sure abt that rule that once Nigeria Tie points with SA on top table they will make it to play offs. That they will be considerd first before others.. except there is same scenario in other groups

Unless SA is deducted 3pts, SE are not qualifying for the WC. We should just focus on winning this upcoming AFCON

Well, there's one thing you all are not checking aside the permutations and combinations.

Somebody should check if the players who were on field for RSA today are eligible.

Let's hustle another 3 points abeg

They should aim to be one of the best 2nd place teams at this point. NFF phucked around with managerial selection in the beginning and is now finding out

if we no qualify my blame for each match day goes thus
Nigeria 1-1 Lesotho
-Peseiro as the chief coach
- Boniface and Awoniyi missing sitters and clean chances
- Kudos to Ajayi for clipping one back

Zim 1-1 Nigeria
-Peseiro chief mumu coach
-Uzoho mumunness infront of goal and beaten by a long range freekick outside the box almsot from midfield
-Aribo missing a simple tapping “open net box-16”freekick
-Kudos to iheanacho clipping one back

Nigeria 1-1 SA
-Finidi chief executor of our defeat
-Lookman missing goals and trying to play selfishly most times

Benin 2-1 Nigeria
-Finidi chief nailer of the dead super eagles inside coffin ⚰️ 🤣

Rwanda 0-2 Nigeria
-Eric Chelle brain behind the win
- Osimhen chief executor

Nig 1-1 Zim
-Ekong poor defense recovery spoilt things for us
- Osimhen saved our blushes
-Eric chelle engine begins to puff and over heating

Take a look at the table with 3 full games to go. Gabon is likely going to finish second from their group and they already have 18 points! That is with 3 games left to play. Look at Cameroon's group. Cameroon, at second, already has 15 points with three games to play.

No second place team from Nigeria's group will get to the World Cup. Take that to the bank. It isnt happening. Moreover, let me add -- there will be multiple second placed teams that will finish no less than the 19 points that Nigeria cannot overcome even if Nigeria wins the group. The only route is to win the group and win by huge margins. South Africa already understands this and their agenda is to run up scores making South Africa v Nigeria + forfeiture forced by FIFA irrelevant. Our only path is to run up scores BIG!!

What this means is that Nigeria must win her remaining games with nothing less than 3 goals, starting from tomorrow...if it means packing the bus and scoring those goals on the counter with 25% possession, so be it.

One group has 5 teams. It would be disservice to that group if 2nd placed team is ranked without discounting points garnered from the lowest placed teams in other groups.

If it is calculated as is, second place team in our group will not make it.

We must first humble ourselves and play those games like we are playing Argentina and Brazil , no ball watching, no missing chances, no selfishness, defend till the last sec, imagine South Africa and Rwanda had Messi plus Ronaldo, mark them, cover space, I saw goals we conceded, simple crosses, simple counters, simple 1/2 passes and basic passing around of football na wetin de stress our elite players.

Omoh for years now Nigeria keeping making minnow look so much a big deal, we need to play our way back to fearfulness by being humble first of all and playing this teams as they should, not winning on paper, struggling on the field.

By now we are just being optimistic but we know realistically Nigeria might and should not qualify, but if I can see this players fight, fight, fight, and win every match, yet we don’t qualify, I will appreciate, as most people will, and will be proud of them.
