in a box-18 tight situation, osimhen will prefer to lay off pass and make assist, but lookman will choose to wanna cut his marker and shoot becos he believe in that his foot which works well for him and its still working well for him…just that at this point we need team play

realpoacher:
Now Y'all know why Osimehn was angry at that equalizer by Zimbabwe

Bar Osimehn, all of your SE Players are not serious one bit. People that should be ashamed of themselves

It took Osimehn just two games to score 3 goals and giving us 4 points in two matches. Prior to then, we only had 3 points in four matches, scoring a measley 4 goals in the process.

What were the other useless players doing? I bet they were clowning around on the pitch on each match day.

So are they telling me that without Osimehn, these useless bunch of players can't beat the likes of Lesotho, Benin and Zimbabwe?

Stupid fools
Pls calm down baba,if we failed to make it,no issue we move on but no need calling these guys fools and useless players....I see everybody praising Osimhen but when Finidi was misquoted due to Osimhen absences people castigating the man,you now see why Finidi was bitter, availability of Osimhen would have saved him.

Yes baba it's painful but what can we do, nothing but NFF should be blamed

That 3 Europa goals in the final tell us what a player is Lookman.

That's why I mentioned the second option. Some of our better players don't give their all when playing for the SE and it's part of the reason we are where we are now.
As good as Iwobi in Fulham and the premier league, what has he contributed to the SE in this qualifiers so far? What about Simon, Chukwueze, Ekong, Ndidi, Aribo at some point, Boniface, Awoniyi, and their likes... What has been their contributions?

Duraissay scored twice today, Salah scored, Marmouise scored, Bakambu scored, these players always does well playing for their NT, can same be said of the SE players, aside Osimhen, Lookman, Bassey and Aina?
Oga it's the system not the players, the same Simon Moses was awesome during 2018 WC qualifiers,so let stop blaming the players but the system

i am just in doubt if this current super eagles can win 2 matches in a row , talkless of 4 .... bring the minnows in africa , they will draw or lose against them ..... its a case of mentality . not their ability . .either Uganda or SA will play a draw ..
Players that can't pass the ball beautifully even for one minute 😞

yes baba…exactly!!….he loved to cut in and take a shot not minding if there is a freer player waiting to pounce on an exposed defense…i pray he finds his target today if at all he still chooses to that style

He is saying its just like best loser rule.
Since u have same point with group toppers
I didn’t find any such rule on FIFA guidelines. The table is a normal table for all second ranked teams.

It's Game day!

Times like this is when it's less fun being a fan of the SE but that's what being a true supporter entails.

The players have their fate in their own hands we can only hope they understand enough and translate it into better performances starting with today.

People understandably are negative but for me I will stay optimistic until it's no longer mathematically possible. I don steady my mind if e go the other way lol.

LET'S GO SUPER EAGLES!

We can’t continue to make excuses with the system, our players lack the hunger we see their fellow Europe based players express when playing for their African teams.

Some 94 set players have always mentioned how they abandon coaches instructions at times to get results for the national team, apart from 2 or 3 players in this current squad we don’t see such hunger, desire or initiative

Uganda is a sure win i dnt know what tyey are saying here. EvEN Sleeping while playing S.E are beating uganda 2:0.
I want to Christ Uche starting game today or maybe againt SA we need his physicality to help osimhen. African footbll is 70% phisicality. Na gidigbo football we dey play here.
Boss gidigbo or not our Victory is certain today.

Na that match for South Africa home ground be the KOKO.

Because SA are very tactical and play long balls ekong and Bassey weakness. And if you want gidigbo they can do that too

Our prayers is for nwabilion to be fit because he’s a sweeper keeper and can counter long balls and our strikers put on their shooting boots

They’re not walkovers sha. We lost and drew with them already.
Every team is walkover for Nigeria honestly

And I’m not capping the moment we dig deep and bring in that hunger from last afcon

We can be absolutely everyone.

Back then the goal wasn’t to play beautiful but to win by any means

Well according to him second best simply means "best loser"
And any 2nd team who ties with the topper on points(with goal difference)is simply a best loser.

Funny enough i was the one strongly arguing against him over this matter at a football stand yesterday..but when i got home and thought about it started making sense to me

Yes but i mean physicality up front.
Those who can press defenders..Osimhen was the only one we have with that persistent pressing on defenders thats why im calling uche now because he is also very good at it.

Tied points with the group leader does not have any impact on the best loser table. You will be on the table as a normal second placed team.

If that formation change is true, then it's obvious Éric Chelle has been watching Galatasaray's matches and want to play to Osimhen's strength 😁🔥

Using the formation, this would be my preferred Starting XI :

Subs:
- If Osimhen has scored like two goals, Dessers to replace him
- Ademola to replace Moses Simon (60-ish minutes)
- Benjamin Fredrick to replace Troost-Ekong (70-ish)
- Christiantus to replace Iwobi, (70-ish)
- Dele-Bashiru to replace Onyedika (80-ish)

If we switch to 4-4-2 somewhere in the game, then it should be Dessers and Tolu after Osimhen might've scored, to let him rest and be unleashed against South Africa on Tuesday.

Funny thing, it’s when the super eagles look down and out they spring up performance that makes you believe again, don’t be surprised to see them pounce like wounded Lions.

Rwanda and South Africa or any other team should be afraid of any Nigeria team being castigated by the fans.
